Congratulations to Mrs. Gustafson!
We are so proud to share that our very own Mrs. Gustafson has been recognized by her peers and the Massachusetts Council for Social Studies for her outstanding work in the classroom!
The MCSS writes:
"The Massachusetts Council for Social Studies is proud to announce that June Gustafson has been selected to receive the 2024 William Spratt Award for Excellence in Teaching Middle School Social Studies. The letters and supporting materials submitted by her colleagues on June’s behalf describe a truly accomplished and inspiring educator. Amidst a remarkably strong field of candidates, June’s talents and contributions to her students and school stood out."
Congratulations to Mrs. G., and thank you for all that you do for our students, their families, and our school!
A well-deserved award to be sure!

QPR – Question Persuade Refer
May 2, 2024, 6:00-7:30 PM, Hingham Public Library, Whiton Room
QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide. Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, colleague, sibling, or neighbor.

Keep Hingham Clean!
Cleaner Greener Hingham Day is coming April 27, 2024 from 9am - 11am! Gather your friends and family and help us make this annual tradition a success. Sign up using this link to clean up one of the many beautiful spots in Hingham. Please note that the DPW will not be providing trash bags and gloves this year so please bring your own supplies. If you find any needles, do not put them in a trash bag as they are a potential hazard to anyone who handles the bag. If you find any needles, please place inside a water bottle, screw the top on and toss the bottle in the trash bag or bring needles to the Police Department for safe disposal in their sharps disposal bins. Once you have completed your cleanup, please email DPWAdmin@hingham-ma.gov to have your bagged trash picked up. And remember to post any photos on your school or Hingham Facebook pages using the hashtag #CleanerGreenerHinghamDay. Thank you for keeping our town clean!
