Veterans Day - November 11, 2024
Monday is not just a day off from work and school, it is a day to celebrate and recognize those men and women that have voluntarily served our nation. Their service, past and current, ensures protection of the hard earned freedoms this great nation provides, many of which people take for granted. This Monday, feel free to pass on a small gesture of gratitude or acknowledgement of their service to let them know their sacrifices are appreciated.
On behalf of LtCol Grace and I; to those veterans out there, SEMPER FIDELIS and "Thank You For Your Service"!

Black Cat Bistro and Butcher Shop
The Salem High School Culinary Program continues to grow and provide additional opportunities to our scholars to explore aspects of this field.
This week the Black Cat Bistro served an Italian inspired lunch (See Menu Below). The Black Cat Bistro is open to the public Wednesday - Friday 11:15 - 1:00 for lunch service. The Butcher Shop created Italian Sausage and Chorizo Sausage which were for sale on Friday for only $2 per package.
Salem High School is fortunate to also have a test kitchen on the second floor where our scholars explore the culinary and begin to hone their skills before they begin working at the Black Cat Bistro. This week the test kitchen produced blueberry bread, potato rolls, bolognese sauce, chili con carne, and oatmeal raisin cookies.
A culinary experience that is second to none!
