ACADEMIC AND ORGANIZATIONAL GOALS
Metter College and Career Academy and Metter High School Board Members have been working diligently to collaborate with business partners, colleges, legislators, parents, and community members to strengthen our students to ensure their success for workforce development. A focus is also on connecting students to his/her desired individual career plan. Our overall mission is to partner with businesses and industries to prepare our students, for the workforce resulting in
Candler County being the "School of Choice" for future employees.
Our vision is for students in Candler County to graduate from high school prepared to be enrolled, enlisted, or employed:
- Enrolled - Preparing students for post-secondary academic success.
- Enlisted - Preparing students for careers in the military.
- Employed - Preparing students for work in local and regional businesses and industries.
Academic Goals
Increase the number of industry and/or college credentials offered to students by one program area each year until all programs represent identified industry needs.

The committee members worked diligently preparing and presenting for the opportunity to gain funding to build a college and career academy. Metter College and Career Academy was awarded a $3.1 grant to begin laying the groundwork for the new facility.
