Dear Glade Families,
I’m writing to let you know that I will be leaving my beloved Glade community and transferring to Whittier Elementary School as Principal on July 1st. Of course, I am very sad to leave this wonderful community, but always focused on finding the silver lining. How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.
There are no words with which I can describe my gratitude, affection, and care for the students, staff, and families of Glade Elementary School. It has been, truly, a privilege to be among all of you for the past six years. Thank you for your kindness, your generosity, your trust, and your unending support for me and for our school. In the words of Dr. Seuss, "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened."
Mr. Steve Raff will be the new Principal at Glade beginning July 1st. He is very excited to join our school community and serve our students, staff, and families. I am so happy for our school that Mr. Raff will lead with hard work and a kind heart. You will be in very, very good hands, particularly in these uncertain times.
I will, of course, find novel ways to say farewell to our students in the next few weeks, as they are always in my heart.
