Good Sunday afternoon and Happy Mother's Day!
We hope everyone is having a Brilliant weekend! We are excited to see our Broncos tomorrow and continue our work as Brilliantly Inspired Leaders and Learners through our Bronco 5! We are so incredibly proud of our Broncos and all of the hard work they are putting in each day on campus and of our staff for their excellence in growing our students. We can't believe we are halfway through the month of May already and we will be continuing to encourage our Broncos to finish quarter four strong both academically and behaviorally.
Last week was Teacher Appreciation Week and we want to say thank you to the incredible staff at Brill! We are blessed with amazing educators that pour into our campus everyday. We appreciate all that they do. Thank you to Brill's PTO, Watch DOGs, and Brill community for showing them lots of love last week!
This week we will have several events and programs visiting our Broncos. On Tuesday we will be celebrating our Volunteers with a breakfast and HMNS will be visiting our 5th graders with a Chemistry program. On Wednesday and Thursday, we will have our awesome Kinder Plays! And on Friday we will have HMNS back out for an Energy program for 4th graders.
We are also looking forward to our Bronco ceremonies next week. Please be on the look out this week for an early dismissal form for our Broncos following the ceremonies. We will also have our 5th grade appreciation day next week! Please submit any final donations to the front office for your 5th grader by the end of this week. Thank you!
We want to thank all of our families for their continued partnership as we work together to support our students. We appreciate and value our Brill community! Be sure to check out the parent information section below to learn how you can support your Broncos and the campus.
We hope that everyone has a wonderful afternoon and as always, if you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to our staff.

A big shoutout to our Broncos of the Month for April! This year we will be celebrating a Bronco from each class every month that does a great job of displaying our Bronco 5 trait of the month. This past month we were focusing on Communication and how our Broncos can show Communication with self, other, and our campus. The class Bronco of the Month was voted on by their fellow classmates and we are so proud of these Broncos! Great job everyone!

Note from the Nurse:
As cold, strep and flu season progresses, we are in that time of year when many students are coming down with upper respiratory symptoms. These include nasal congestion, cough, sore throat, headache, and possibly fever.
Please be aware that Klein ISD requires that students be excluded from school for a fever of 100.0 or higher and they may not return to school until they are fever free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications.
Temporarily masking a fever with medication does not change the fact the student is in the contagious period of an illness and may be spreading the illness, like the flu, to others by coughing, sneezing, and touching surfaces.
While we value student attendance, it is important everyone plays their part in keeping the spread of illness to a minimum by following this rule. Please also make sure your contact information and emergency contacts are up to date with the Registrar so that you can be reached in the event your child is ill and must be picked up from school.

Attendance Procedures
Regular school attendance is essential for a student to make the most of his or her education—to benefit from teacher-led and school activities, to build each day’s learning on the previous day’s, and to grow as an individual. Absences from class may result in serious disruption of a student’s mastery of the instructional materials; therefore, the student and parent should make every effort to avoid unnecessary absences.
Did you know you can now report an absence in Skyward? Click HERE for more information.
Any student who is absent for the whole day is required to produce one of the following within 5 days of their absence(s):
- Parent Note
- Message through Parent Skyward account
- Original medical note (copies or altered notes will not be accepted)
- Faxed notes must be sent from physician’s office
- Court note
- Official note for observance of approved religious holy days
