Hello Palmyra Families,

This is Ms. Bletterman with the Weekly News!

Thank you all for your active participation in our Parent-Teacher Conference Week! It was wonderful to see so many of you engaging in your child's education and collaborating with their teachers. With conferences now concluded, we will be returning to our normal school schedule.

I also wanted to inform you about some exciting updates. Our lunch table area is currently under construction, so students will be eating in an alternate lunch area on the blacktop until the project is completed. We expect the new lunch area to be ready when we return from winter break.

Additionally, next week is the final week to submit Jog-a-Thon donations. Thank you to everyone who has already contributed! The Jog-a-Thon run has been rescheduled for October 24th, and we are looking forward to this fun event.

2025 GATE Screening & Testing

The 2025 GATE screening process for students in grades 2-6 is underway.

All students in 3rd grade will be screened for GATE. If you do not wish for your child to be screened, complete and return to our school office the Opt Out form linked below. You may also get a copy of the form from our school office or from your child's teacher.
Students in grades 2, 4, 5, and 6 may be referred by parents or teachers for the GATE testing process by completing the GATE referral form linked below . The deadline to refer your child is Wednesday, January 21, 2025

There will be two virtual parent information sessions hosted by the OUSD GATE office. These will be held using Microsoft Teams. See the bottom of the 2025 GATE Screening Information flyer linked below below for links to the meetings.
