Welcome to the first day of the final quarter of the school year! It’s hard to believe how quickly the year has flown by. As we enter this last stretch, we encourage our students to stay focused, finish strong, and make the most of every learning opportunity. Your continued support makes all the difference.
8th Grade ISA Testing
This week, our 8th grade students will be taking the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA) during their science classes from Monday through Wednesday. The ISA is a state-mandated assessment aligned to the Illinois Science Standards and helps us measure student growth and understanding in key science concepts.
Please help your child come to school on time, well-rested, and ready to do their best!

Tip: Aim to keep absences to 9 days or less throughout the year for a brighter future. Every day matters, especially as we head into the last quarter!

¡Bienvenidos al primer día del último trimestre del año escolar! Es difícil creer lo rápido que ha pasado el año. Al entrar en este último tramo, animamos a nuestros estudiantes a mantenerse concentrados, terminar con fuerza y aprovechar al máximo cada oportunidad de aprendizaje. Evaluación ISA de 8.º Grado Esta semana, nuestros estudiantes de 8.º grado tomarán la Evaluación de Ciencias de Illinois (ISA) durante sus clases de ciencias de lunes a miércoles. La ISA es una evaluación obligatoria a nivel estatal alineada con los Estándares de Ciencias de Illinois y nos ayuda a medir el crecimiento y la comprensión de los estudiantes en conceptos científicos clave. ¡Por favor, ayude a su hijo a llegar a la escuela a tiempo, bien descansado y listo para dar lo mejor de sí!
¡Un Futuro Brillante Comienza con la Asistencia! ¿Sabía que? La buena asistencia es un fuerte predictor del éxito laboral futuro. ¡Haga de la asistencia escolar una prioridad en su hogar! Friendly reminder: Please be sure that if you need to drop off your student's lunch that it is at Winston prior to 10:30, this ensures that it gets on the lunch cart and brought to the cafeteria. Please refrain from having Door Dash deliver food to your student or bringing in fast food. Students who receive fast food will eat it in the office during their lunch period.

Register for the 2025-2026 year!
Every student—new and returning—must register each year. We encourage families to register their child(ren) as early as possible. Learn more about the registration process and register on our website.
District 15 will be transitioning from Infinite Campus to PowerSchool in 2025-26. All families will need to create their PowerSchool account in order to register for school for next year. Thank you for your timely action as we launch this new system. We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible.
Registering early helps us solidify staffing for our schools, allows your child(ren) to be placed on a class list, and allows your child(ren) to ride a bus to and from school. Registration MUST be completed and student fees must be paid by July 15, 2025.
In order to place all students in a classroom and on bus routes, we ask that you please do your part and register on or before July 15.

This event is intended for Spanish-speaking families to learn about the high school experience. The presentations will be in Spanish. It is not at all related to Harper's promise. This presentation is a lot of the same information shared at Freshman Welcome Night. Everyone is welcome but it's an opportunity for Spanish speaking families to ask questions and learn about D211.

No está relacionado en absoluto con la promesa de Harper. Esta presentación contiene mucha de la misma información compartida en la Noche de Bienvenida a Estudiantes de Primer Año. Todos son bienvenidos, pero es una oportunidad para que las familias hispanoparlantes hagan preguntas y aprendan sobre el Distrito 211.
