Math with Mrs. Skiba

I have a class website where students and guardians can quickly access information. You will be able to see our class calendar, daily notes and links to newsletters. Additionally, I have created an Amazon Class Wish List. I have told students if they feel that anything should be added to our classroom to let me know and I will add it. I will be continually adding items throughout the year. Please do not feel obligated to make a purchase, but all donations are appreciated. Continual desired items include antibacterial wipes, kleenex, pencils and lined paper.

Please check PowerSchool weekly to stay up to date on your student's grades and missing work. PowerSchool will be your best resource to track your student's progress. Assignments are entered into Google Classroom but often times students forget to electronically mark they have been turned in so they will say they are late and/or missing when they have actually been turned in and graded. If you have any questions, please let me know.

This week we continued Chapter 2 with Lesson 2.4: Multiplying Rational Numbers and Lesson 2.5: Dividing Rational Numbers. We will had a test on all of Chapter 2 on Friday. All Chapter 2 work was due on Friday. Chapter 2 work will no longer be accepted for a grade. Tests will be handed back on Monday. All chapter 2 test redos must be completed by Monday, October 31st.

Next week we will begin Chapter 3: Expressions. We will begin Lesson 3.1: Algebraic Expressions. If your student would like additional resources for support I recommend the BIM website and Khan Academy. (Like Terms)

This week we continued Chapter 2 with Lesson 2.4: Congruent Figures and took a quiz on Lessons 2.1-2.4. Quizzes were handed back on Friday. All quiz redos are due by Friday, October 28th.

Next week we will continue Chapter 2 with Lesson 2.5: Dilations, Lesson 2.6: Similar Figures and Lesson 2.7: Area and Perimeter of Similar Figures. If your student would like additional resources for support I recommend the BIM website and Khan Academy. (Dilations)

All dates are subject to change as lessons are student driven. Extra time may be spent on concepts as needed which would move back quiz and test dates.
