DMS Delivers
September 15, 2023
Dear DMS Families,
This week was a busy first full week of school. We conducted our first fire drill of the year on Tuesday. As noted in the email home, students and staff did a great job, and were quickly and efficiently able to evacuate the building. Also, our amazing PTO hosted an assembly for students on Wednesday. Despite the weather not cooperating, we were able to attend a portion of the assembly, and students really enjoyed it. The assembly promoted making good choices, and treating each other with kindness. So far, we feel like we are off to a great start, and we are looking forward to a great year.
Please see below for important information, including an early dismissal for next week.

First Day of School Paperwork
There are several reasons why we have moved our paperwork to the Aspen Family Portal. First, it allows us to streamline the back to school process and make it more efficient for everyone. Second, it allows us to collect your paperwork electronically, which reduces our paper waste. Third, it allows us to keep your paperwork secure and confidential.
Through the portal, families can complete the following:
- Update their personal phone number
- Update their personal email address
- Authorize student photo release
- Agree to Technology Take Home (MS and HS students only)
- Agree to Student Acceptable Use Policy
- Agree to Student Handbook
On paper, we ask you to complete the following:
-Student Information Sheet (as needed)/Medical Information (on the back)
-Lunch Form
We encourage you to log in to the Aspen Family Portal and complete your back to school paperwork as soon as possible. Here are some step-by-step directions to help you get started.
If you have any questions, please submit a Technology Helpdesk Ticket. Thank you for your cooperation.
Please complete all forms by Monday, September 8th.
