From the Principal

Dear FMS Families,

We had a fabulous week at FMS. Ask your child about how the staff were dressed this week! As a special surprise for students, we held an “underground” spirit week, in which students needed to guess the theme. Today was fun for everyone as they got to see the staff dressed like…students! With wearable blankets, crocs and hoodies - today’s theme was pretty obvious.

Springtime at school moves very quickly! We have lots left to learn, and also so much growth the celebrate! Our students have come so far this year.

Next week brings some excitement with Fine Arts Night on Thursday, April 10. Even if your child is not performing, it is a wonderful event in our our community. We look forward to seeing you there!

FMS Family Trivia Night!

We are excited to announce our second annual family trivia night at FMS, which is coming up on Thursday, 4/17. Join us for some trivia questions and popcorn! Please RSVP below or by filling out the form that your child took home this week.

BBQ Lunch in May

On Friday, May 16, our child nutrition program is providing a special celebratory barbeque lunch for all of our students in EWSD. We are excited to be able to invite some family members to join us for that special lunch.

Due to capacity limits, we are asking that just one adult per household RSVP to join your child at school. Reservations will be made on a first come, first served basis, and we will have a cap of 30-50 family members grade level. Lunch will take place with a slightly adjusted schedule that day, and that information will follow closer to the date.

Earlier this week, a message went out to all EES and FMS families regarding classroom placement for next year. If you would like to provide your feedback about your child, please fill out the survey below, or reach out to your child's teacher, special educator, school counselor or principal!

State Assessments

We are continuing our VTCAP testing at FMS. Our students are working hard on this assessment and we have just two weeks left in the testing window. VTCAP results are shared with families at the beginning of the next school year.
