To all our Tornillo moms, it has been such a priveledge getting to watch your child grow this year. Thank you for trusting us with your child. We will always be here to support them. Happy Mother's Day & enjoy this beautiful day!
I also want to thank all of our community who helped to thank our teachers last week for Teacher Appreciation Week. We want to thank our teachers for everything they do for our Coyotes. Education is a hard profession and our entire staff does this beautiful work with so much heart.

End of the Year Student Check-Out
The following items will begin to be checked back in to classrooms as we get ready to close out the school year. The following items will be picked up from your child. Students will need to pay a fee for lost or damaged items and will need to be cleared in order to receive the report card at the end of the year & participate in this year's Field Day.
Library Books
3rd-8th Grade Laptops
3rd-8th Grade Laptop Chargers
PK-2nd IPADS
We will be holding a Field Day on Monday, May 28 for all our PK-8 students to attend. In order for your child to be able to particpate, PK-8 students must be cleared for library books, laptops, laptop chargers, IPADS, and registration for the 2024-2025 school year.
Student Behavior & Campus Wide Expectations
We have exceptional students at our school and we love our students. We have seen an increase in referrals to the office as well as discipline referrals in and out of the classroom over the last week. As we get closer to the end of the school year, please continue to have conversations with your child regarding school and classroom expectations. Aside from negative consequences, additional consequences imposed at this time of year might include the removal of school incentives, field day, dances, or other fun type of activities. We are here to support all our students and appreciate your support.
As a friendly reminder, please, no outside toys such as dolls, stuffies, or gaming systems. Sport balls are still ok to bring if used during lunch or before school starts.
2024-2025 New & Returning Student Registration Open for All PK-12 Grade Students
Parents, please help us get the word out that all returning students must register to ensure space for the 2024-2025 school year. Follow the link below to begin the registration process online. We only have about 30% of our PK-8 Coyotes registered for next year so far, & we need your help.
All PK-8 students who have registered by Thursday, May 16 will be getting a Bahama Bucks Snowcone on Friday during lunch. Remember that you can register online or stop by our campus & we can help.
Student Attendance - When you miss a day, you miss alot.
We will continue to make daily contact with all families when a student is absent. As Texas law requires, a warning letter is sent to families when they have unexcused absences, are below 90% in attendance, or have extreme tardies. Please remember to submit your doctor's or parent note within 48 hours.
