Plympton Family Update
September 27, 2024
From the Plympton Admin Team
Hello, Families!
What a great week! Our first PTO meeting was a great success with over 30 people in person! We hope to continue to grow. A big thank you to Miss Amy from Champions for overseeing childcare for families attending the meeting.,
Last night was our Multicultural Night. It was a vibrant celebration of cultures, filled with incredible food, music, and dance from around the world. The air was alive with excitement as people from different backgrounds gathered to share their traditions. The evening began with a rich buffet featuring diverse dishes from delicious dobladas to savory empanadas, sweet crepes, hearty stews, and more, offering a taste of the globe in every bite.
As the night went on, the rhythm of drums, guitars, and trumpets filled the space! We were treated several performances, learned new dances, and ended the night with a piñata! The night was a vibrant reminder of the beauty that diversity brings.
Today was our first Community Meeting. We gathered as a whole school to review our expectations and celebrate our successes. Our grade 5 students shared characteristics of leadership and good citizenship. We also recognized student leaders from each grade who show responsibility, teamwork, goal setting, or taking initiative.
Have a great weekend!
