10. CONSENT AGENDA

That the Board of Education approve those items on the Consent Agenda as follows: (A) Personnel Report and Addendum to Personnel Report; (B) Treasurer's Report; (C) Invoices; (D) Fixed Asset Disposal Report; (E) Regular and Closed Session Meeting Minutes of March 12, 2024.With the approval of the consent agenda, the Board welcomed Mrs. Allison Yoder as the next Associate Principal of Thomas Middle School. Mrs. Yoder is moving from her role as Assistant Principal and Student Services Coordinator at Westgate Elementary. She will keep her role as Student Services Coordinator in her new role at Thomas.

11. STUDENT LEARNING

Assistant Superintendent of Student Learning, Dr. Becky FitzPatrick, and Literacy and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Coordinator, Sharon Nelles, presented a review of District 25's Literacy Program which entailed the formation of an elementary literacy committee, the piloting of two new curricular programs, and a proposal for the Board to consider of implementing the preferred pilot program, HMH Into Reading, as the new District 25 elementary comprehensive literacy resource for reading, writing, & word study.
Two committee members, Ms. Amy McFarland, Ivy Hill 1st Grade Teacher, and Dr. Corinne Duffy, Westgate 4th Grade Teacher, shared their experiences of piloting HMH Into Reading with the Board.

A. TENTATIVE AMENDED BUDGET
On February 13, 2024, the Board of Education voted to abate the working cash fund in the amount of $1,900,000 to be transferred to the debt service fund. This transfer requires the District to amend the 2023-24 budget that was approved by the Board at the meeting held on September 26, 2023.
An amended budget must follow the same process and legal requirements (105 ILCS 5/17-1) as the original budget, therefore, the schedule for potential adoption of this amended budget is as follows:
- April 9, 2024 | Present 2023-24 tentative amended budget
- Prior to April 12, 2024 | Publish notice for public hearing
- May 14, 2024 | Public Hearing
- May 14, 2024 | Adoption of final amended budget

A. FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REPORT
Superintendent, Dr. Lori Bein, updates the Board on Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests from the public. The following were the FOIA requests:
- Lizanne Perri of Reyes Coca-Cola Bottling, requested information on a beverage agreement; a response was provided on March 14, 2024.
- Norma Wawrzyniak requested information on the district's cash reserves; a response was provided on April 1, 2024.
- Jim Small requested information on CUSIP numbers for bond issuances; a response was provided on April 5, 2024.
