Tri County Elementary
"You Belong in the Boat"

Spring Break starts this week! No school beginning Friday, March 21-March 28 🌞
- If you reside in the Tri County Area School District and have a child who turns 5 years old on or before September 1st, 2025, they are eligible to attend Kindergarten in the Fall. See the flyer below for Kindergarten Roundup information and how to RSVP for this event.
- Thursday is READ A T-SHIRT DAY- Wear something with words on it (School Appropriate)
- From our District Nurses: A Guide for Parents- Flu Information
- Please be sure your child is dressed for outdoor weather, as all students go outside for recess. We still recommend that students bring boots to school for wet/muddy playgrounds. An extra set of clothes can be helpful if your student gets wet at recess.
- If you have reached out to your students teacher to volunteer in the classroom, participate in field trips, or events, a Volunteer Consent Form must be filled out. A new form and background check must be completed each school year. This can be obtained from the office. A copy of your state-issued driver's license is required to process all volunteer applications. Print the volunteer form here: Volunteer Form
- If your student is absent, please call the office attendance line, (231) 937-4380, press 1. Absences must be reported to the office within 24 hours for it to be excused. A reason for the students absence must be stated or it will be considered unexcused. If you know ahead of time that your student will be absent, a planned absence form can be filled out and submitted to the office. Print a TCE planned absence form here: TCE Planned Absence Form
- View our Attendance Policy/Process: Attendance Matters
End of the Day Changes
Any changes to how your student is going home for the day needs to be received by the office no later than 2:45pm. After this time, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to get end-of-the-day notifications to your student. As you can imagine, the end of the school day can be very busy in the office. For this reason, we discourage early pickups after 3:00pm. In the case of an emergency, please call the office to prearrange a pickup time- 231-937-4830
Arcade tickets are on sale now! Send money in an envelope with your child’s name on it to purchase tickets. (There is a $10 limit for purchasing tickets.)
All proceeds from the arcade will go to Youth Vikings PTO.

A Message from our District Nurses!
If your student has any medical concerns or conditions please make sure you are
connecting with the District Nurses, we are here to help and to ensure your students needs are being met. We want to provide the safest and most successful school year for your students and help keep each student as healthy as possible.
Some examples of health care needs are: Asthma, allergic reactions, diabetes, seizures,
medications, illnesses, food allergies, head lice, toileting concerns, etc.
Also please make sure your student has all of their school immunizations up to date. If
you are choosing to not have your child receive these immunizations, please make an
appointment asap with the local health department to receive a waiver. If your student is not up to date or you are unsure please contact your family doctor to schedule an appointment to
