Principal Letter
Dear Northridge Community,
I’m excited to share that we’ve officially completed the English Language Arts section of the CMAS exam! This week, our 3rd–6th grade students participated in the Colorado Measures of Academic Success, the state’s required assessment. I’m so proud of how our students approached the test—they stayed focused, took their time, and shared that they gave their best effort. While we know this is just one assessment and doesn’t define a child, their perseverance and positive attitude throughout the process truly stand out, and for that, I couldn’t be prouder! Next week, we’ll begin the math section of CMAS, and we’ll continue to support students in giving their best and celebrating their efforts along the way.
The Candeeland Fundraiser was a fantastic evening! I was so impressed with the turnout—once again, our families came together to support NRE and enjoy a wonderful event that built stronger community connections. A big thank you to our PTO Board for organizing such a great auction (I even picked up a few items myself!) and for making it such a fun-filled night. Check out some of the pictures in the PTO Pulse.
On a personal note, I’m hosting a crawfish boil this weekend! Growing up in the Houston area, Cory (my husband) and I developed a love for Cajun food, and over the past 15 years, Cory has perfected his crawfish boiling skills—he makes some truly amazing crawfish. He even flies them in live from Louisiana, and let me tell you, it’s a treat! We’re excited for beautiful weather, the kids coming down from Fort Collins, and a fun-filled time with great food. As we say in Cajun country, "Laissez les bons temps rouler!" (Let the good times roll!)
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, and I’m looking forward to another amazing week ahead!
Smiles,
Erin
