Good Morning E.L.M. Families,

Happy Friday! This coming week we will celebrate our teachers and staff at Emma Miller School. It goes without saying, but our teachers and staff are one of the best around. There is no shortage of sacrifice, kindness, care, and fun with this group of individuals. Each person plays a special role in making our school what it is, and we thank them for BEING AWESOME and giving their best selves to our school and our kiddos. News, Updates & Reminders:

* The May menus and calendar were sent home earlier this week and they are attached below as well.

* The STE MCAS for Gr. 5 students will take place on Tuesday, May 14th & Wednesday, May 15th. After this date our MCAS testing will be complete for the year.

* The School Committee will meet on Monday afternoon at 6:00pm. As always, you are welcome and encouraged to attend. The agenda is attached below.

* We are anticipating that we may need to hire an additional person for our Aftercare program next year. The hours are 3:00pm-6:00pm Mon.-Fri. and 11:30am-6:00pm on half days of school. If you or someone you know may be interested, please let me know. We will likely post for this position during the summer.

* The Savoy Town Mtg. will take place on Wednesday evening at 7:00pm. We appreciate our Savoy families coming out and supporting our school budget. A link to the warrant information is below.

Planning Ahead:

* Aftercare Families - The program will be closed the last week of school, which is now scheduled for June 17th & 18th. The last day of Aftercare will be Friday, June 14th. We appreciate having all invoices paid in full by Friday, June 7th.

PTG Updates & Reminders:

* The PTG meeting will be held on Monday afternoon at 5:00pm. Please join us if you're able. The agenda is attached below.

* The PTG will host a school dance on Saturday, May 18th at the Savoy Fire House from 5:30pm-7:00pm. More information will be shared soon.

Health & Safety:

* Spring and tick season has arrived! We highly recommend applying sunblock and bug spray before the children come to school in the morning. We also recommend checking your student for ticks each evening. Check out this link if you'd like more information. https://www.cdc.gov/ticks/index.html
