Reminder: There will be no school November 25th to November 29th in observance of Thanksgiving. If you would like to check out the lost and found, our office will be open from 8-3:30. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Break, Hirsch Families! Enjoy this time to be thankful, share memories, and to embrace those who enrich our lives.

Attention parents/guardians!!! Students need to wait to get out of cars at the loading area or wait until a staff member gets them out of the car at drop off. The loading/unloading area is clearly marked with signs and we need to work together to get everyone to school safely. Please remember the Valet Loop is only for students in grades 1-5; TK/Kindergarten must be walked to the gate/Adults are unable to use the Loop to enter/exit cars.

Also, parents/guardians are not allowed past the school gate. If your child needs a forgotten item please bring it to the front office. All volunteers must check in first before coming onto campus. Thank you for your cooperation in helping to maintain a safe campus.

Hirsch Elementary donated 100 pounds non-perishable foods to the Viola Blythe Center. Thank you to all the Bulldog families that were able to donate!

Fremont Unified and Alameda County Library have a partnership to increase students’ access to digital reading materials from the library. Students and staff can access Alameda County and FUSD ebooks and audiobooks through Sora using their FUSD account credentials – rather than a separate library card – to easily log into the library’s digital collection.

Students and staff automatically have access to Sora on the Google Waffle when signed in with their FUSD login. Visit our website for more information.

Please contact the school's absence line, day or night, at 510-657-3537 and then press 7.

Please be sure to state:

1)your student's first and last name

2)student's classroom number

3)reason for the absence

4)your name and relationship to the student

If these absences are not cleared by a parent guardian within 48 hours, they will be considered unexcused. Excessive absences and/or tardies, excused or unexcused, may result in a truancy warning.

Make-up work may be requested on the second consecutive day of a student's illness.

We are thankful for the wonderful PTA and volunteers that we have here at Hirsch. The PTA arranged for a luncheon for our staff this week. Our staff appreciates this amazing treat and hope you all have a great Thanksgiving.

Congratulations to the Super Lego Builders, a talented team of fourth-grade Hirsch students who recently competed in the FIRST LEGO League Challenge. Their impressive performance earned them a spot in the upcoming regional competition!

BULLDOG JOG (OUR SCHOOL'S BIGGEST FUNDRAISER)

Hello Hirsch Families! Our next big event, Bulldog Jog is almost here! What is Bulldog Jog? Bulldog jog is our annual fundraiser event held at the school on January 31st and the kids run laps to raise money for our school.

How do the funds raised get utilized? 80% of the donations given, goes directly to your students’ grade-level classrooms and support classroom needs such as supplemental learning materials, field trips, classroom supplies, etc. The remaining 20% will support programs such as Reflections, Music For Minors II, F.A.M.E. Program, Educational Assemblies, Thanksgiving Luncheon, Basketball Program, Harvest Festival, Red Ribbon Week, Family Movie Nights, Field Day, Teacher Appreciation Week, Reflections Program, Hirsch Talent Show, Scholarships, Multicultural Week, Debate Club and many more..!

How can you help? We are looking for volunteers to reach out to local businesses or anyone who might be interested in sponsoring our event this year, watch out for this space and our social media to sign up.
