Calling all future Legacy Women's Soccer Stars!
Do you dream of playing high school soccer? Here's your chance to get in on the action! The Legacy High School Women's Soccer team is looking for enthusiastic and energetic students to be ball girls at their game on February 25th! This is a fantastic opportunity to experience the excitement of a high school game and see what it takes to be a Bronco soccer player. If you're interested in joining the team when you get to high school, this is a great way to get involved early! Sign up by completing the Google Form by February 21. Don't miss out on this chance to support the team and kick-start your soccer future!
Important Information Regarding 8th Grade Counseling Services
Mrs. Vasquez has a baby on the way who is due in March. She will be out of the office for 12 weeks once the baby comes, potentially the entire half of the second semester. Mrs. Alferez, 7th Grade Counselor, and Kasey Holder, the District Counseling Coordinator, will assist 8th graders in her absence. Their respective emails are:
Mrs. Vasquez has greatly enjoyed working with this 8th-grade class for the past two years and can’t wait to hear about their success in high school!
Incoming 7th Grade Parent Meeting
On Tuesday, February 4th, Jobe will be hosting an Incoming 7th Grade Parent Meeting for all current 6th graders at Donna Shepard. The meeting will be from 5:30-6:30 pm in the Jobe cafeteria. If you have a sibling in 6th grade or know a family who has a 6th grader at Donna Shepard, please help spread the word!
Student Drop Procedures
These procedures are designed to ensure the safety of all our students as they arrive at school each morning. Please remember:
- Drop-off is in the front of the building (not the back or side).
- Drop-off is one lane against the curb for safety reasons. There is no second-lane drop-off in the mornings.
- Please pull forward past the front door to drop off your student, do not stop in the crosswalk.
- If you need to drop off items, please park in the parking lot. The parking lot is reserved for handicapped parking, and those needing to park.
- Students should walk bikes and skateboards across and should not ride them on the crosswalk or school sidewalks.
Your cooperation in these procedures will help us maintain a safe and efficient drop-off process.
Student IDs Policy
All Mansfield ISD students must wear IDs daily and during district sporting events and programs. Each student receives a free ID. Each additional ID will cost $5.00. Fees are added to student's Skyward. Fees are paid online through Skyward or with cash/check in the main office.
Cell Phone Policy
MISD prohibits using cell phones and other personal electronic communication devices in schools, between the hours of 8:15 am and 4:15 pm. Whenever parents need to communicate with students, please contact the school at (682) 314 - 4400.
Bell Schedule and Tardy Policy
Students must be in class before the tardy bell. Please review our 24-25 Bell Schedule. Tardies are tracked and monitored in the Student Conductor communication system. The first 2 tardies are a warning. Consequences are assigned beginning with 3rd tardy.
