Chesapeake Lighthouse Foundation Schools Celebrate Outstanding 2024 Star Ratings

[Laurel MD, December 3, 2024] — The Maryland State Department of Education has released the 2024 Maryland Report Card, and we are proud to announce that Chesapeake Science Point and Chesapeake Math and IT Public Charter Schools have achieved outstanding results. Chesapeake Science Point in Anne Arundel County earned an impressive 5-star rating, while Chesapeake Math and IT Public Charter Schools in Prince George’s County secured a strong 4-star status. These accomplishments reflect the hard work and dedication of our educators, administrators, students, and families, who continue to foster a culture of excellence in our schools.

In response to the impressive star ratings, Mr. Yilmaz Ak, CEO of Chesapeake Lighthouse Foundation Schools, expressed his pride and gratitude for the continued success of the institutions. "Our schools continue to serve as beacons of excellence, as Chesapeake Science Point has upheld its stellar 5-star rating. Chesapeake Math and IT Public Charter Schools have maintained their strong 4-star rating in the 2024 Maryland Star Ratings. Additionally, we are proud to celebrate the debut of our new elementary school in Anne Arundel County, which has set a high standard right from the start by earning an impressive 5-star rating. Chesapeake Lighthouse Foundation was established in 2003. In 2005 the first of seven STEM focused schools was established. Chesapeake Science Point MH Charter School in Anne Arundel County, and the Chesapeake Math & IT Academy Public Charter Schools, Prince George's County, remain among Best Schools (US News). The newest and 7th school, Chesapeake Science Point Elementary Public Charter School, is slated to open in 2023.
