It's Tonight: Grade 7/8 Open House!
August 19, 2020
You are invited to our Annual CIMS Open House! TONIGHT from 6:00 - 7:00 PM
This event is open to all 7th/8th grade students/families, whether students are virtual or in-person learners. The entire event will be held ONLINE, so we will not have any families visiting CIMS in person.
Each department will have its teachers gathered in ONE online Zoom Meeting Room to introduce themselves, deliver department-specific information, and answer questions (time permitting).
During each of the 5 sessions below, families can determine which subject-area rooms they will visit. You may visit in any order you choose - there is no set schedule parents must follow. Each subject area will conduct the same meeting agenda during each session.
6:00 - 6:08 - Session 1
6:10 - 6:18 - Session 2
6:20 - 6:28 - Session 3
6:30 - 6:38 - Session 4
6:40 - 6:48 - Session 5
6:48 - 7:00 -- Q&A (families can return to any subject-area room as they see fit)

HELPFUL HINTS
Session 1 will begin PROMPTLY at 6:00 PM. Feel free to arrive a few minutes early - our teachers will be prepared to welcome guests by 5:55 PM.
We recommend you use your student’s device (Chromebook) to help you more easily navigate to the Zoom sessions.
If you attempt to visit a Zoom Room that has met capacity, feel free to visit a different meeting during that session and return later!
Be sure to ask your child for their teachers’ names so you can more easily recognize your child’s actual teachers while in each session.
Our recommendation is to determine which teachers/departments you’d really like to hear from, and structure your time so you can be sure you make it to those rooms!
Open house is a time for general questions; if you have specific needs related to your child's progress, please reach out to the teacher individually.
