Thank you to everyone working so hard to get the required immunizations! Please continue to send in documentation of vaccinations or proof of immunization exemptions as they are received. Nurse Laura is working to pull records from the state registry as well as time permits.

This week you will be receiving texts from your child's teachers. We use a system called "School Status" to do this. This is an easy and quick way that we can communicate with you about team-specific or class-specific information. Thank you for saving the information to your phone!

Hellstern Student Council is looking for kind hearted leaders! Applications can be picked up from advisory teachers or in the front office. Applications are due Friday, August 23!

What: Band Parent Meeting

When: Tuesday, August 20th

Where: HMS Cafeteria

Parking: 7th grade car rider line or back lot by the gym/tennis courts.

Entrance: Back door by the gym or glass doors at the awnings on 7th grade car rider line.

5:30-6:00pm - EXPRESS LANE (HMS Cafeteria)
This is for students who already ordered their instrument and/or accessories from the music store.
You will line up, pick up your purchased items, then take them to your band locker in the band room.
After that, you are free to leave.

6:00pm - BAND PARENT MEETING
Mrs. Huffman will help parents get set up for ordering supplies and getting connected for band.
There will be 2 music stores set up in the cafeteria. Parents can shop this night and order everything.
The stores will deliver items within a week. This is great!

If parents have questions, they can ask Mrs. Huffman following the meeting.

If you are a 7th grade student who was wanting to be in band, but it is not on your schedule, please contact Mrs. Huffman so that we can get your schedule adjusted as soon as possible.

Hellstern’s IT team is looking for parent or grandparent help with handing out Chromebooks next week. If you can take a shift and be a Chromebook Hero, we’d appreciate it! And it’s a great excuse to be at school and see what your kids are up to without totally embarrassing them! Click here for the Signup Genius.

If you’d like to be a Copy Hero (make copies needed by teachers) and spend about an hour at school one day a week, please email hellsternmspto@gmail.com.

Please help PTO Stock the Lounge! We’d like to provide snacks and drinks for our teachers throughout the year. Click the Signup Genius link to participate! Donations should be delivered to school on Friday, Aug. 30.

20 - Band EXPRESS Lane (5:30pm) - If you ordered your instrument over the summer and had it delivered to the school, you can skip the parent meeting and go to the express lane to pick up your items. Afterwards, go to the band room to meet with a teacher for assigning your band locker.

20 - Band Rental Meeting (6pm) - If you missed the band parent meeting in May, this is for you.

21 - Deadline to have your band instrument at school or at least ordered. Deadline for band payments paid or payment plan communicated.

26 - Band Social at Lokomotion (5:30‐7:30pm)
