Congratulations to the top WARRIOR point earners for September:

6th grade - Milly Guerrero, Amelia Roberts, Jaidyn White, Clay Gibson, and Cooper Doriot

7th grade - Jesus Belli, Abigail Collier, and Aylin Gomez Ramirez

8th grade - Jaxon Owens, Griffin Owens, and Kylee Age (not pictured: Victoria Bowman)

SHS Key Club, which is the high school equivalent of the SMS builders club, is collecting gently used costumes to distribute to community kids in need. If you have a costume that you would like to donate, please bring it to SMS by Thursday, October 10th.

The donated costumes will be distributed during the fall fest at Beechwood Park on October 12th from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

We have one week of school before our fall break, which is scheduled from October 14 - 18.

Classes will resume after break on October 21st.

Harmony made some updates over the summer, including a new link for Harmony Family Access. When you need to visit Harmony Family Access to update information, check grades, add money to a cafeteria account, etc., please use this link. It is also located on the Scott 2 website under "Students & Parents" if you prefer to access it from there.

Our fall sports season ends on Thursday.

Winter sports are basketball, cheer, swimming, and wrestling.

Students should listen to the afternoon announcements for information about tryouts, practices, and competitions.

Eventlink is the platform that we use to communicate with parents/family members regarding practices and events.

For those of you who want/need to plan ahead, here are some important dates for the 2024-2025 school year:

October 14-18 - no school

November 5 - eLearning day

November 11 - no school

November 27-29 - no school

December 23-January 3 - no school

January 20 - no school

February 21 - no school

March 24-28 - no school

May 22 - last day of school

The Scottsburg MS student handbook contains some updates for the 2024-2025 school year. Once again, the most significant changes took place in the attendance section.

We encourage you to read the handbook with your child(ren) and to contact us with any questions you may have.
