Scientific Revolution
Edwin F. 5th period
What was the change?
It started changing how people viewed the world. The poeple started thinking more for themselves and stopped believing what everybody told them. People started thinking what other things that they believed in the scientific revolution could be fake or wrong. People started thinking outside the box and then new ideas of the natural world came. Started thinking if there were more species since there were other planets they had discovered and they didn't think that the center of the solar system was earth now. They also did't think earth was so big now and thats how we started exploring moons and started sending machines to other planets.
Who were the people associated with the change?
galileo telescope
Galileo improved the telescoope and perfected the scientific method.
nicolaus solar system
Nicolaus started studying the solar system more and discovered that the earth is not in the middle but the sun is. He proposed the heliocentric theory.
Johannes Kepler
Johannes kepler was the man who mathematically proved the heliocentric theory and proposed the planets move in elliptical orbits.
How did the change impact society at the time?
The people got confused and they didn't know what to believe or what to think because they were astonished because of the new discoveries. people started exploring the world more because they started things they haven't found out about.
How is that change evidence in today's modern society?
To this day we still use some of the things that have been discovered a while ago. We still use the telescope that galileo improved. And we also still use some of the scientific methods thet they used back in the day.
