LFHS Coach Nets 50 Years on the Soccer Field
On Thursday, May 9, as we honored our senior soccer players and their families, we also paid tribute to Coach Chris Chouinard, a guiding force in our program for half a century. Beginning his coaching journey at Lake Forest High School in 1974, Coach Chouinard positively impacted over 2000 student-athletes, instilling in them the values of teamwork, integrity, and discipline through the game of soccer.
Known for his unwavering dedication, compassion, and kindness, he exemplified the best of our community. Coach Chouinard is currently one of our Freshman Girls Soccer coaches and also serves as one of our JV Boys Soccer coaches. Congratulations, Coach Chouinard, on an incredible 50 years of coaching.
LFHS Student Named National Merit Scholar
The National Merit Scholarship Corporation has announced the winners of this year's National Merit $2500 Scholarships. Congratulations to Lake Forest High School Senior, Connor S. Koefelda, for being named a National Merit Scholar. Chosen from a pool of over 15,000 outstanding finalists, National Merit Scholars are recognized for their achievements, skills, and potential for college success.
Scholars were selected by a committee of college and high school officials, who considered a student’s academic record; scores from the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test; contributions and leadership in school and community activities; an essay written by the Finalist; and a recommendation written by the high school. Connor joins an elite group of 2,500 Scholars from across the country and plans to pursue a career in computer programming.
LFHS ALUMNI Mentoring Opportunities are Live!
At Lake Forest High School, we are committed to supporting all graduates after they leave our halls. As our alumni discover their professional passions, we want to connect them with potential employers and mentors, who can offer both opportunity and insight.

We also recognize great value in pairing more established professionals with young alumni, as well as alumni who are considering new professional paths.
