May-1st Edition
Nespeca's Notes
Swenke Snow Leopards — we’ve made it to May! Can you believe we’re on the downhill slope to wrapping up an amazing school year? We have so many fun events ahead, the 4th Grade Wax Museum, the 5th Grade Party, and our big End-of-Year Party for all students — plus much more!
Field Days are coming up next week, and we’re still in need of volunteers! If you're available, please consider signing up to help—it's just a short 2 hour shift and a great opportunity to enjoy the day with your child while supporting Coach Richter. See the flyer below for more details!
Be on the lookout for our final edition of the Paw Print, which will be sent out on May 16 to help close out the year.

Assistant Principals-Staffing Update
Sarah Millerhouse has made the decision to be closer to home in Katy. With her son Maxwell heading to 6th grade, their family has decided to have him attend his zoned middle school. Sarah will be pursuing an Assistant Principal position in Katy ISD or possibly helping her husband, Daniel, with their family catering business.
We will miss Mrs. Millerhouse dearly, but we fully support her decision and know she is doing what’s best for her and her family. Mrs. Millerhouse wanted to include a little message to you all:
Dear Swenke Families,
I have absolutely loved being part of the Fairfield community for the past twenty years—eight years at Ault and twelve years at Swenke! It has been an honor and a privilege to work with so many wonderful families and to watch my students learn and grow over the years.
As I prepare to transition to my home district of Katy, I carry with me countless treasured memories. I have been truly fortunate to work alongside the exceptionally dedicated and amazing staff at Swenke. One of the greatest joys of my career has been watching my students grow—from some as young as three years old all the way through fifth grade—and having the opportunity to walk alongside their families throughout that journey has been the honor of a lifetime.
Thank you for entrusting me with your children. I’m truly grateful to have been part of such an amazing school community for all these years.
With Love,
Sarah Millerhouse
We are excited to share that Brandy Breaux has been selected to expand her leadership capacity as the new Principal of Hamilton Elementary! While we will miss her dearly at Swenke, we are incredibly proud of her and can't wait to see the amazing things she will accomplish in her new role. Mrs. Breaux wanted to include a little message to all of you:
Swenke Families,
Thank you for being such a wonderful support over the past 4 years. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in your child's educational journey. Your kindness and welcoming nature from the very start have made a lasting impact on me, and you will always hold a special place in my heart. Love, Brandy Breaux
We are excited to move forward with a rigorous interview process, including a teacher panel for the face-to-face interviews. This thorough approach ensures we find the very best fit for our campus, and we are confident it will lead us to two outstanding additions to our administrative team!
School Nurses Day-May 7
Happy School Nurse’s Day to Nurse Jones! We are so incredibly grateful for the care, compassion, and calm you bring to Swenke each and every day. From Band-Aids to big emergencies, you handle it all with a smile—and we couldn’t do it without you!
End of the Year Party
Our End-of-Year parties will be held on Wednesday, May 28th, not on the last day of school. We planned it this way to give our students and teachers a calm, quiet final day to wrap up the year and spend quality time together. The cafeteria will be serving a grab-and-go lunch on this day, which will include the following items: Yogurt or wowbutter box, Carrots, Apple slices, White or chocolate milk.
We will need lots of volunteers to make the parties a success, so be on the lookout for a volunteer sign-up coming soon! Please note: only those signed up to volunteer will be able to attend the parties.
Thank you for your support!
Mother/Son and Father/Daughter Dance
We’d love your input!
We are looking to gather feedback from our community regarding the format of the February dances hosted by PTO. One idea we’re exploring is combining the events into a single Sweetheart Dance, still held in February, but possibly moving to a larger venue like Salyards to accommodate everyone.
