Blueprint in Action

Announcements and Reminders
Course Requests for 2024-2025
Course requests for the 2024-2025 school year are ready to be reviewed. Please follow the attached directions to verify your course selections. All students should have 7 classes scheduled (14 lines or equivalent for a full load) in your course requests. If you need to add/drop a course, please follow the course change request directions attached. This window is open now until May 3, 2024.
Important Reminder: Chromebooks and Chromebook Chargers

Each day, Seckinger students are expected to bring their fully charged, school-issued Chromebook and charger to use during their learning activities and to complete assignments/assessments.
Chromebooks and Chromebook chargers are no longer available for student checkout for the day. If students forget their Chromebook or charger, they need to call their parents and have them bring these items to the attendance office.
SKG PTSA Executive Board Officers
SKG PTSA Nominating Committee is accepting nominations for Executive Board Officers for the 2024-2025/2025-2026 school years. Our goal is to see that every parent has a voice on our PTSA and is given the chance to become actively involved in enriching opportunities in our school. Are you interested in serving as a SKG PTSA Officer? Please fill out the form below. Officer positions are for a two-year term. All Officer positions for 2024-2025/2025-2026 are open and vacant for new nominations.

Gwinnett Writes 2023-2024

Gwinnett Writes is administered once a year during third quarter as a language arts assessment. For the test, students will write an informative or argumentative response to a Language Arts, Science, or Social Studies topic. The choice of topic will be made by the student prior to starting the test. All students enrolled in a 10th grade language arts credit course will take this assessment on Tuesday, March 26th. Free & Reduced Price Meals
Previously Posted
Parents of students enrolled in the Free and Reduced Meal Program must reapply for the program each school year. Applications for the 2023-2024 school year are still available on the Gwinnett County Public Schools website. You may change the language of the application in the upper right corner. Students who qualify for Free and Reduced Meals often qualify for reduced fees for AP testing, ACT testing, SAT testing, and college applications.
We encourage parents of all eligible students to apply as soon as possible.

Seckinger's Driver Education Program is now open and accepting registration. Visit the Driver's Education Program page located on the Seckinger website by clicking below. Be sure to complete your 2024-2025 FAFSA Application. The 2024-25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available as part of their soft launch. Click the link below to access the form. FAFSA is closely monitoring their site performance and form functionality.

The 2024-2025 Dual Enrollment funding application is available effective Feb. 1. The application is located at GAfutures.org. If you are interested in dual enrollment next school year, be sure that you submit the correct application. If you submitted prior to Feb. 1, you will need to resubmit. Email your counselor if you have any questions.
SKG Athletics, Arts, & Club Activities
Athletic Events
- Only Seckinger HS students and opposing HS students will be permitted in games without a parent. High School IDs will be checked.
- Students must leave school on game day and can return thirty minutes before the start.
- All games are available for purchase online. Visit the GoFan website here: https://gofan.co/
- All elementary and middle school students must be accompanied by an adult at all sporting events.

Jag Jog
Mark our calendars! SKG's Cross Country and Track and Field Teams will be hosting our 2nd Annual Jag Jog. The Jag Jog starts and finishes on the brand new track at Jaguar Stadium with the course winding through the campus and on the streets near the school. Jump in on the Jag Jog at Seckinger High School in Buford. It will be a fun morning of music, door prizes, snacks, awards and the Jog! Trophies given to the top overall male and female as well as Masters Male and Masters Female and Grand Master Male and Female. Medals given to the top three in male and female five year increment age groups from 10 and under all the way to 75 and up. Proceeds from this event benefit Seckinger High School Cross Country and Track and Field teams.
