The Primary Connection

Wednesday is the most exciting and exhausting day of our year! It is our annual Field Day and it will be a great day of fun for our students! If you signed up to volunteer, we thank you ahead of time and look forward to our time with you. We are hoping that the weather forecast improves and we are able to have a great day of outdoor fun!

I highly encourage all students to have a spare set of clothing with them. We have numerous water games and they will get wet!

The 24 - 25 school year is right around the corner. This past week, the EPS Board of Education approved the calendar for the coming school year. I have attached a copy of it to this newsletter and it is also available on our district website.

One noticeable change is that our district will implement a monthly late start each month. This time is designed for professional development and collaboaration amongst our instructional staff. This protected time allows teachers and staff to stay updated on the latest educational practices, teaching techniques, and curriculum changes. By incorporating late starts, schools can provide dedicated time for professional development without disrupting the regular school day.

This annual event will provide FREE backpacks with age-appropriate school supplies to pre-K- 12th grade students who live in and/or attend Cass County schools. Online pre-registration is required at uwsm.org. Online pre-registration begins June 24 at uwsm.org/school-supply-spectacular.
