Principal's Message 01/13/25
Viking Friends and Families!!
Good afternoon, Viking Friends and Families,
Welcome Back!!
I hope everyone had a restful winter break. I am excited to let you all know that we will be starting a comprehensive needs assessment (CNA) process through an outside organization called WestEd. This process is designed to gather valuable data to help us develop a targeted, actionable improvement plan for our school. To guide us through this process, Lodi USD has partnered with WestEd, a highly respected nonprofit research and service organization with extensive experience in school improvement. WestEd will support us in collecting insights, analyzing trends, and identifying opportunities for growth.
On Wednesday 01/15, WestEd representatives will visit our school to conduct focus group interviews with key stakeholders—like yourself. These sessions are an opportunity for you to share your valuable perspectives on areas such as: school leadership, curriculum and instruction, professional development, and school culture. You’ll also be able to provide your thoughts on questions such as:
- What do you consider the strengths of our school?
- How do you know students are being held to high expectations?
- What opportunities exist for you to discuss ways our school can improve?
These sessions are tailored to address our school’s unique context, and we encourage you to share your thoughts openly and candidly. If you'd like to participate, please call our front office. The parent focus will start at 8 am in room 13.
