RULH FFA Chapters Attend the 96th annual National Convention!
The RULH FFA Chapter attended the 95th National Convention and Expo from November 1st-3rd in Indianapolis, Indiana. Under the leadership of Mr. Daniel Foster (RULH High School FFA Advisor and Agriculture teacher) and Mr. Justin Cluxton (RULH Middle School FFA Advisor) the group stayed very busy with an agenda packed full of fantastic experiences for the students!
The first day of the National FFA convention was a great start to the trip. Students toured the National Museum of the US Air Force, and traveled to Indianapolis and saw the World's Toughest Rodeo.
Days two and three were just as spectacular as day one. The students heard Secretary of Agriculture Tom Vilsak speak along with the keynote speaker Juan Bendaña. Then they visited the tradeshow and headed to the Indianapolis 500, enjoyed a wonderful meal at Ford's Garage, and ended the day tired from two fun filled hours at Adrenaline Adventure Park.
On the final day the students headed back to the tradeshow, then to the Reproduction Specialist Group, and finally back home. Ripley FFA has some of the best students around! A great time was had by all and special thanks to chaperones Janet Dugan and Elaine Manning; and the fearless bus driver, Leslie Jones, who drove the bus through some crazy traffic! Blue Jay Pride!

Miss Lisa Fryman Named RULH Teacher of the Year for 2022-23
Lisa is an experienced educator who is passionate about providing a safe and positive learning environment for all students. Lisa completed her Bachelor's of Science degree at Wilmington College in May 2008 and has accumulated over 10 years of teaching experience across different grade levels and educational settings.
Throughout her career, Lisa has taught in the Autism Unit at Brown County ESC for two years, taught 3rd grade English Language Arts at Alliance Academy of Cincinnati for six years, and served as an 8th Grade Intervention Specialist at RULH Middle School for two years. She has also been an active member of various teams, including BLT, DLT, OTES, PBIS, and the School Counselor's Team.
Lisa is a proud member of the Council for Exceptional Children, a professional organization dedicated to improving the success of children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents. Her educational philosophy is centered around building positive relationships with students and creating a calm, positive, and safe learning environment. She believes that every student has the potential to succeed and is committed to helping them achieve their goals.
Lisa's passion for teaching stems from her desire to help students become better learners and succeed in any way they can. Inspired by her kindergarten teacher who created a fun and rich learning environment, Lisa strives to recreate the same experience in her classroom. Her favorite story is about a student she taught during her first year at Alliance Academy. Despite having an IEP, the student would come into the classroom and immediately hide under the table and cry. Through patience, kindness, and dedication, Lisa was able to build a positive relationship with the student and help him learn to love school.
Outside of teaching, Lisa volunteers for Brown County's Night to Shine and will be volunteering at Kamp Dovetail this summer. She is dedicated to making a positive impact not only in her classroom but also in her community.
