APPLYING FOR ADMISSION TO COLLEGE
How are you applying?
Most colleges offer ‘rolling’ or ‘open’ decision admission and that is what most of your applications will be. More select institutions could extend Early Decision or Early Action options. Those approaches can strategically impact your chances of acceptance, but weigh them carefully.
Consider important factors
Are there application fees? (If you visit campus in person or with the college recruiter at PLHS, ask if those application fees can be waived.)
Be aware of various deadlines or additional requirements for specific programs.
What else does your application require?
Colleges typically require these items with the application: high school transcripts, ACT/SAT Scores, application fee, etc. PLHS will send transcripts but you will need to login HERE to request ACT scores. If you need to send your SAT scores log on HERE . Official scores need to be sent directly from ACT or the College Board. PLHS cannot send them.
What else may be needed?
Colleges may also require: letters of recommendation, essays, activities resume with your extracurricular involvement, volunteering, leadership, honors, work experience, etc.

This new PLCS ACT Prep Course is taught by PLCS teachers with expertise in each of the subject areas. CLICK HERE to register and for more information.
