2024 Staff Appreciation
National Teacher Day is May 7, 2024, and National Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6-10, 2024. PAC has a number of breakfast and lunch events scheduled to celebrate Staff Appreciation the week of May 20-24, 2024. With MCAS happening this week, we wanted to ensure all teachers and staff would be able to enjoy what we have planned for them.
However, our Staff Appreciation events will not be successful without your support. Purchase an item off our our Amazon Wish List or sign up via SignUp Genius to bring a breakfast or lunch item that week.

Fundraising Update & PAC Initiatives
Fundraising Update: With your support, PAC has reached our initial fundraising goal for this year! We thank you in advance for your continued contributions to the Unfundraiser and support of our upcoming fundraising events.
Current Initiatives: PAC is currently collaborating with administration on the following initiatives. While we hope to make each of these a reality, we cannot guarantee that will be the case. Support for these initiatives is largely contingent on feasibility, funds raised, volunteer commitment, and obtaining the appropriate approvals. If you have an interested in assisting with one or more of these initiatives, please email qms.pac@gmail.com or join us at next meeting and we will put you to work!
- Staff Appreciation – To show our QMS educators how much we appreciate them, we will be providing various breakfast, lunch, and snack items during the week of May 20th along with Student Council. If you are able to contribute either through our Amazon Wishlist or by signing up to make and drop off various breakfast and lunch items on our SignUpGenius, it would be greatly appreciated by all. We hope to have both of these lists fulfilled by mid-May.
- 8th Grade Banquet – Planning for the 8th grade banquet, “A Night at the Tropics”, is well underway. The event will be held at the Mansfield enVision hotel on June 17th 6-8:30 pm. Families are welcome until 6:30 to take pictures with their students in the lobby / courtyard. We're in need of decorations and have set up an Amazon Wishlist for you to purchase from. In addition, there's still plenty of time to contribute to the 8th Grade Banquet by making a donation to the Unfundraiser. To ensure your donation is used for the banquet, please include "8th Grade Banquet" in the comments section. Thank you to those that have made a contribution already. There is a mandatory volunteer virtual meeting scheduled for Thursday, May 16th at 7 p.m. The link for the meeting will be shared directly with volunteers.
- Book Fair - Several families have reached out to volunteer with this effort - thank you! We've made the decision not to hold a book fair this school year and instead will set our sights on fall / early winter for next school year.
A Night at the Tropics ~ 8th Grade Banquet Update
The 8th Grade Banquet, “A Night at the Tropics”, will be held at the enVision Hotel in Mansfield on June 17th 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm! Families are welcomed until 6:30 for pictures in the Lobby / Courtyard. At 6:30, families will depart and students will be directed to the banquet room. We're looking for donations of tropical decorations from our 8th Grade Banquet Amazon Wishlist.
Please remember that "A Night at the Tropics" is a casual tropical-island themed celebration. Students should be dropped off and picked up by a responsible, known, adult. No limos or hired car services (Uber, Lyft, etc.) should be used to transport students to and from the event. Your adherence to this request is greatly appreciated.
Permissions slips will be available in the coming weeks and will require the contact information for a local, responsible adult who will remain available the entire duration of the event should it be necessary to reach one.
In years past, the event has cost $3,000; however, to hold the event at the enVision hotel, the cost is close to $10,000. Please consider making a contribution to the 8th Grade Banquet by making a donation to the Unfundraiser. To ensure your donation is used for the banquet, please include "8th Grade Banquet" in the comments section. We thank those of you who have made a contribution already.

7th Grade Field Trip - Six Flags New England June 13th 7:45 AM - 4:15 PM
This year the 7th Grade will be taking a field trip to Six Flags New England on June 13th from 7:45 AM returning at 4:15 PM. Permission slips and money should be returned to school by May 8th!
PAC Scholarships Available - PAC wants to ensure that every 7th grade student is able to attend this fun-filled end-of-the-year event, but we understand that the cost may be a bit much. PAC is providing funding for families experiencing hardship so that none of our seventh graders will be left out due to the cost. Should your family need a scholarship, please reach out to your team liaison and it will be taken care of. A permission slip is still required.
Family Season Passes - Students may use their family's season pass to attend the field trip instead of bringing in $57. However, the student will be 100% responsible for remembering to bring their card/barcode with them on the day of the trip. Additionally, the student will also need to bring their own money to purchase food as the current cost of the trip includes a meal plan (snack and lunch w/drink included).
Permission Slips - If for some reason the permission slip has become lost during transit home, you can print another copy HERE. Please make sure you fill out all information on the front and back of the permission slip, especially your emergency contact number.
Return & Pick Up Time - As a reminder, the return time is later than the normal school hours. Arrangements must be made to pick up your student by 4:45 PM at the absolute latest.
UNFUNDRAISER
Help us reach out fundraising goal! Your contribution is tax deductible!
Dislike having to sell “stuff” to raise funds for an organization? Well, so do we! In lieu of tasking students and parents with selling typical fundraising items, PAC is pleased to offer a tax deductible option to take the hassle out of fundraising. Your participation is completely voluntary and very much appreciated! You can simply make a donation via Venmo, PayPal, or check!
Your donations will enable us to support our students and teachers by providing the funds for enrichment, technology, flexible seating, speaker events and so much more. Our goal is to raise $15,000 this year. This will put us in a terrific position to support all of our ongoing student activities and provide an opportunity to see what new initiatives we can help with.
_____ $25 - I don’t want to buy chocolate bars, please take this donation instead.
_____ $50 - I don’t want to sell coupon books so here’s a better alternative.
_____ $100 or $_______ Here’s a donation to show my appreciation for not having to buy, sell, or do anything else for fundraising this year.
Payments can be made via PayPal at QMS UnFundraiser Donation, Venmo @QMS-PAC, or send a check payable to "QMS PAC" to QMS PAC, 240 East Street, Mansfield, MA 02048. Remember, donations are tax deductible.
