Online Registration for the 2024-2025 School Year
Online Registration for the 2024-25 school year will opened on Wednesday May 1st! Families planning to attend Barrington 220 Schools in August will need to register and update student and family demographic information before May 31st. Students can not be officially registered for the 2024-25 school year until Online Registration is completed.
Please note: students can only be registered by their legal guardian (of student(s) primary household.)
The link to registration will be in your Infinite Campus Parent Portal account.
Once logged in, refer to the left side of the homepage
Select and click the More option
Once the list expands, select and click the Online Registration option.
Parents are asked to update family and student contact information, and medical information, and answer all required annual parent permission forms when completing Online Registration. Following a review of your registration documents, a confirming email will be sent. Please allow 5-7 working days for that email to arrive.
Please note: If your student will be a senior during the 2024-25 school year, you will request parking when completing on-line registration.
Please be aware that if there are any outstanding balances on your student's account they will not be able to get parking until those fees are paid in full.
If you have a new address or if you need to add a new student since your last registration, you will need to submit proof of address along with your registration application.
For further information about the registration process, you can click on this link: https://www.barrington220.org/our-district/register-a-new-student
Safe Party Tips
As we approach prom and graduation season, parties are a wonderful way for teens to celebrate, socialize, and relax with their friends. Planning is key to hosting fun, safe, and successful parties. Here are some important tips for when your teen wants to host a get-together at your house to keep everyone safe - including you.
Capstone Day Information
Beginning this Spring, as we look to wrap up the semester we wanted to allow all classes to wrap up and to re-emphasize the importance of attendance. Students should be physically present on these days for all rostered classes. The only periods students do not have to be in the building are for lunch or a scheduled open period.
ALL classes will meet to wrap up the semester in a way that aligns with the curriculum and expectations for the course. For example, Physical Education classes will meet, and students will participate in BFit activities and complete a checkout process. Resource classes and Academic Support classes will also meet to provide support to students in wrapping up the year. Some classes will have assessments, exams, or other academic work to complete.

Mental Health Awareness Month
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Since its inception in 1949, Mental Health Awareness Month has been a cornerstone of addressing the challenges faced by millions of Americans living with mental health conditions. Throughout the month, NAMI actively participates in this national movement, dedicated to eradicating stigma, extending support, fostering public education and advocating for policies that prioritize the well-being of individuals and families affected by mental illness.
MAY 10: The PTO Staff Appreciation Lunch is Friday, May 10th to thank our educators and support staff for everything they do at the high school, finishing off the end of Teacher Appreciation Week. Thank you for the little things, like a kind smile or word of encouragement, that make a big difference to students every day, as well as all of the big things that go above and beyond! Thank you!
MAY 13: The next PTO meeting is set for Monday, May 13th at 9:15am, NEW LOCATION: THE DISTRICT 220 OFFICES (the building ACROSS THE STREET from the high school) or via Zoom. If you have already been entered into the D220 system and would like to expedite security check-in, RSVP here.

See Something, Say Something
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority and we commit to offering a safe
and secure educational environment. Barrington 220 is now partnering with an Illinois school safety helpline aimed at providing students a place to report information that might prevent bullying, suicide, and campus violence. Safe2Help is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It allows students to confidentially share school safety issues via a mobile app, text, email, or phone call. You will notice that the "See Something, Say Something" button on our district and school website now links directly to the Safe2Help contact page. We are asking that all students, parents, staff, and community members now use this platform to report safety concerns. In the case of an emergency, call 911.BARRINGTON HIGH SCHOOL
