Hello, Cougar Cubs Family,

I hope you and your family had a wonderful holiday break filled with joy and relaxation. As we welcome a new year, I'm excited to embark on another enriching term with your children. We have a lot of exciting activities and learning opportunities planned, and we’re eager to see the growth and achievements our students will make. As colder weather approaches, we kindly request that you have your child's name written on the coats and jackets. We donated many during this holiday break. Espero que usted y su familia hayan tenido unas maravillosas vacaciones llenas de alegría y relajación. Al dar la bienvenida a un nuevo año, estoy emocionado de embarcarme en otro período enriquecedor con sus hijos. We are excited to announce the musical for this year! We will be performing Willy Wonka KIDS! Participation is open to students in grades 3-5. All students who wish to participate must try out. Auditions will be held on Thursday, January 9th. If your child would like to audition, please fill out the google form linked here. Please sign up for tryouts before Tuesday, January 7th. You must fill out the form for each child hoping to participate. Please do not list multiple children on the same form.

Please carefully read through the parent information attached. It will answer many of your questions. You will need to verify that you read the parent information when you sign your child up.

Our PTA is focused on building a positive school culture. We have monthly meetings held on the first Wednesday of each month @9:30-10:30 in our collaboration room. We will also have an evening meeting at 6:30. Our PTA is dedicated to building and supporting student learning. We are grateful for all they do to make learning fun!

Canyon Elementary PTA is in need of volunteers to help teach Junior Achievement Financial Literacy lessons in your children's classrooms. Please look on the attached google sheet to see if your child's class is in need of volunteers! All materials and lessons are prepared for you and just require a little bit of assembly. Without parent volunteers we will lose this program that is loved by students, teachers, and the PTA! We appreciate your willingness to help our school!

Nuestra PTA está enfocada en construir una cultura escolar positiva. Tenemos reuniones mensuales que se llevan a cabo el primer miércoles de cada mes de 9:30 a 10:30 en nuestra sala de colaboración. También tendremos una reunión por la noche a las 6:30. Nuestra PTA está dedicada a construir y apoyar el aprendizaje estudiantil. ¡Estamos agradecidos por todo lo que hacen para que el aprendizaje sea divertido!
