A WORD FROM MR. CARROLL
A word from Mr. Carroll
Dear Kahla Community,
The past month has been full of accomplishments, and we couldn’t be prouder of our Kahla Knights! From reaching attendance milestones to showing off our school spirit, our community has truly shone. Here are a few highlights:
Attendance Champions! We're thrilled to announce that Kahla has earned the title of "Attendance Champions" by reaching the district's goal of 95% attendance for the first marking period! This achievement speaks volumes about the commitment of our students, families, and staff. Your support for regular attendance makes a huge impact on your student’s success—academically, socially, and emotionally. Students who are here daily have more opportunities to connect, grow, and achieve their full potential. Let’s keep up the momentum, and thank you for making attendance a priority!
Kahla Knight Pride Shines at the Pep Rally! Our recent pep rally was a fantastic celebration of our Kahla Knight pride! It was wonderful to showcase the spirit and talent of our fall athletes, band, Student Council, and Gold Spirit Club. Seeing our students come together to support one another and celebrate their hard work and dedication was inspiring. We’re proud of every one of them, and it was clear that the Kahla spirit is alive and well!
Preparing for a Strong Finish to the Semester As we head deeper into the fall, it's the perfect time to check in with your students about their goals and progress. The end of the semester will be here before we know it, so setting small goals now can make a big difference! Remind your students to ask questions, stay involved, and celebrate the growth they’ve achieved so far.
Thank you for being such an integral part of our community. Your support is key to the success of our students, and we are grateful for every family that helps to make Kahla a special place. Let’s keep working together to make this year memorable and full of achievements!
Warmly,
Joshua Carroll

Note from the Counselors
The Anti-victimization Guidance Lesson Permission Slips have been sent home with students. We will be giving the lesson on November 12, 2024, and it will cover topics such as the prevention of child abuse, family violence, dating violence, and sex/human trafficking. Your student must return the signed permission slip to their Advisory teacher stating whether they can or cannot receive the lesson. Any student who does not return the permission slip will not receive the lesson.
