Greetings,

This is a very special week for the 2nd graders who are preparing to receive their First Holy Communion with Fr. Francis. They have a rehearsal tonight at 6 pm and then their big day is this Sunday at the noon mass at Holy Rosary. In order to prepare for this, the kids have gone through months of studies and had their First Reconciliation. This is a very special event, as it allows the children to more fully participate in the mass experience, by receiving Jesus through the Holy Eucharist. Please join us on Sunday if you are available and/or say a special prayer for the kids.

• Wednesday, May 30th - 4th/5th Mt. Rainier trip, Communication envelopes go home today, Depave Family Open House at 6 pm with pizza and beverages...kids are welcome, First Holy Communion practice at 6 pm in the church

• Thursday, May 31st - PSC meeting at 8:15, Yearbooks are on sale in the office, Free Dress for WalkaThon, WalkaThon in the afternoon (pledge envelopes due today!!!), Communication envelopes due to the office today, Principal for the Day...Mr. Caleb Chaloner

• Friday, June 1st - Mass at 9 am, Electives/End of the Year Award ceremony at 2 pm in the auditorium.

• Sunday, June 3rd - First Holy Communion at the noon mass, Corpus Christi processional to St. Joe's church and picnic in the convent garden at 3 pm
  

You may purchase "free dress" for the last week of school for your child. The cost is $25 per student and can be paid in the office with Berenice. This is good for June 11 - 15, 2018.

Permission slips were sent him last week for the roller skating party that was sold at the auction earlier this year. We have a lot of students going, so we are not selling any more spaces. If you have NOT turned in your child's permission slip, though, please turn it in no later than THIS FRIDAY! Students will not be able to go roller skating if they do not turn in their completed and signed permission slip, even if the item was purchased at the auction. If you need a new slip, please stop by the office or contact Sarah at smckinney@hrrsjda.org. Thanks! The event is in Monday, June 4th. It will be a blast.

The yearbooks have arrived. They are filled with more than 20 pages of memories in full color. Buy yours starting tomorrow! First come, first served...limited number of copies available. The cost is $20 and the book can be purchased in the front office.

We will be completing our Depave project this summer, as we create a new play field and a garden....as well as a new play area! Here is the schedule of events:

• Open House on May 30th at 6 pm in the school. Pizza and beverages are provided. Come and share your ideas and questions.
• The prep work for the Depave will be June 18-22. This is done by contractors.
• Community Depave will be Saturday, June 23rd. THIS IS WHEN WE NEED YOU!!!!!!!
• We have a crew on hand to do any work we are not able to do that Saturday the following week (June 25-28) and if people want to help when the crew is there they are more than welcome to join. My hope is that we can get 100 people on site, so each of us only need to remove 10’ x 10’, which is really doable in 3 hours.
• Post-Depave transformation work will be July 11-22. This is done by contractors.
