Students in Grade 4-9 competed in track and field on Wednesday, May 22. Students who won their event in their age categories will be heading to Consort on Tuesday, May 28 to compete in a division wide track and field meet.

SWAT team does acts of kindness during mental health week by serving seniors at the Hanna lodge.

Family focused student exchange company YES Canada, in partnership with the public school division, is seeking families within Prairie Land to host international students from a wide range of countries and cultural backgrounds. For these high school students, host families provide a home away from home in a safe and nurturing environment, three meals per day and the opportunity to become a family member. A monthly stipend is provided to host families to offset the cost of hosting. Local Coordinators and the experienced YES Canada team provide guidance and ongoing support for host families prior to and during a student’s stay.

If you are interested in hosting an international high school student or would like to learn more about YES Canada's homestay program, and the many benefits of becoming a host, we will be excited to connect with you. Hosting opportunities are available throughout next school year for possible durations of 2, 3, 5, 10 and 12 months.
