Principal's Corner
Happy Monday!
I hope everyone had a great weekend and is preparing for school tomorrow! We cannot wait to see everyone!
Please be mindful of traffic this week. It will be very heavy and hectic for the first few days, but it will calm down. Please watch for students, parents, and staff, as well as other cars. We want to keep everyone safe! We have several adults in yellow vests directing traffic. Please follow their directions and we will get everyone through quickly and smoothly.
Please check out all the information below, and we will see you in the morning!
It's always a great day to be a CMS Eagle!

Dress Code!
We are cracking down on students out of dress code. The largest offenses have been students wearing track shorts, pajamas, showing the midriff (stomach), and headgear. PLEASE make sure you and your child fully read and understand the dress code, as this applies to the school day AND school sponsored events - including football games and other sporting events. The full dress code can be found below.
Thank you!
Students are prohibited from wearing, while on the school grounds during the school day and at school-sponsored events, clothing that exposes underwear, buttocks, the abdomen, or the breasts of a female. This prohibition does not apply to a costume or uniform worn by a student while participating in a school-sponsored activity or event.
Prohibited Dress:
Alcohol and tobacco logos, as well as words, pictures, or objects with sexual connotations, are not permitted at school or school functions.
Undergarments, including undershirts and underpants, must be concealed.
Headgear is not to be worn in the building as defined but not limited to; caps/hats, winter hats, beanies, bandanas, etc. unless approved by the principal.
Shorts, skirts, and dresses must not be shorter than the length of a dollar bill above the knee in length. NO TRACK SHORTS ALLOWED unless approved for PE or athletic events.
No rolling shoes are allowed during school.
No sleeveless shirts, halter tops, bare midriffs, pajamas, or house shoes are allowed.
Clothing that exposes underwear, buttocks, or cleavage is prohibited.
Holes in clothing above the length of a dollar above the knee in length are not permissible unless tights, leggings, or other materials are under the holes so skin is not revealed.
Light-up shoes must be turned off in the classroom.
No chains on pants.
Leggings and bike shorts are permitted, however, the top garment should be mid-thigh and adhere to the above rules.
No pajama pants or blankets.
Wearing or possessing any clothing, bandanas, jewelry, symbol, or other sign associated with membership in, or representative of, any gang. (THESE ITEMS ARE PROHIBITED ON SCHOOL PROPERTY AND SCHOOL FUNCTIONS.)
**A student’s primary clothes must meet the dress code requirement, regardless of whether they have a jacket that covers the dress code violation. For example, if a student has a shirt that is too short, they may not cover it with a jacket but will be asked to change their shirt.
Students not meeting the dress code requirements will call parent/guardian to bring appropriate clothing. Students will have to change to the appropriate attire when dress code policies are not met. If a parent/guardian cannot be contacted, the student will wear school-issued clothing for the remainder of the day and go to In-School Suspension (ISS). (SEE CMS SCHOOL BOARD POLICY)
Student Technology Fee!
Watch for Packets!
Students will be coming home with packets of additional information needed. Please ask your student for these and return them to school as soon as possible. Thank you!
