English Village Family Edition
A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRINCIPALS:
Hello and welcome back, EV Families!
We hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday (if you celebrated it), and that it was filled with great people, food, and fun!
Quick status check-We are now into December, the last month of 2024 and almost a third of the way through the school year. While your children/our students have accomplished so much already this year, this is still a lot to do before the school ends in June to ensure that your children are ready for the next grade level .
There is definitely a lot of excitement and many distractions at this time of year, especially with the holidays and a long school break quickly approaching. So...we are asking that you continue to do all of the great things that you have been doing at home to support your child academically (ie.-Reading with them for at least 20 minutes/night, practicing Math facts, collaborating with school staff on Seesaw, attending school events, connecting with our school via social media, etc.). It is critical that the instructional push remains so that every child gets what they need to be successful.
As always, please reach out if you have any questions, need anything, etc. We are thrilled to be your partners in education! Take care and have a great week!
Sincerely,
Jason Lewis
Rosa Bellone

Little Bears in Action
Little Bears begin with the end in mind
We held our Beary Good Kid award ceremony last week for Leader in Me Habit #2 - Begin with the end in mind. These students plan ahead and set goals, they are prepared at all times and they think about how their choices affect the future.
Little Bears Counting with blocks
Students at English Village often use different manipulative's to do addition and subtraction. Here these students worked on adding and subtracting using blocks. They also used the dry erase board to show their work on.

Students Pie the Principal
To celebrate achieving our goal in the PTA Fundraiser we were able to pie Mr. Lewis this week. Randomly selected students who's families participated in the fundraiser were selected to pie him. Thank you to all the families that participated in the fundraiser!
