Ms. Benningfield, Lower Campus (PK - 3)
Thank you all for supporting our teachers during teacher appreciation week! It takes teamwork to serve our students so effectively and I appreciate your partnership along the way. As we complete end of year testing with MAP Growth Assessments - I want to encourage you to reflect on the growth of your little bison. Think of the family/guardian actions you made to facilitate this growth - note what you want to continue in the upcoming year - then celebrate! As we wrap up the year, we want to ensure that each of our bison feels a sense of pride over their learning and growth throughout the year. Student growth is a reflection of the collective efforts of all of our stakeholders and I thank you for your role in it all.
Ms. Munves, Upper Campus (4 - 8)
As we step into the final two weeks of the semester, we have several end of year assessments for Upper Campus. This week, 3rd-8th grade students will take their EOY MAP assessment. Next week, our 6th-8th graders will take ACP exams. Please remind your students of the importance of these assessments! Both MAP and ACP data give teachers a picture of how students have grown over the course of the semester. We'll use the data from these assessments to plan for students' return in August. We appreciate your support in encouraging our Bison, as we know we all share excitement for summer. This is a great opportunity to circle back to any academic goals that your student has made with their content teachers or within your family. We look forward to celebrating academic growth and achievement for all of our Bison!
Additionally, please remind your students of our technology expectations. District-issued devices should only be used for instructional purposes. Non-academic games, YouTube use that is not aligned to a lesson, and social media platforms are not approved for use on district devices. Students who choose to bring a cell phone to campus must keep them fully powered off during the day. This includes during arrival and dismissal. Cell phone usage is not permitted on campus. Thank you in advance for supporting us with these reminders!
