Welcome Mr. McClaskey π£
Career Center Campus would like to introduce and welcome our new principal Mr. Todd McClaskey! We are very excited to have him aboard. We can't wait to build the future for our students with his leadership.
" I have had the pleasure of serving several campuses and getting to know students and families across the valley during my 27 years in District 51 and have enjoyed getting to know the students, families, staff here at CCC. I am impressed with the amazing opportunities for students that earn industry certifications and workforce skills that they can apply immediately in construction, healthcare, early childcare, companion animal care, culinary arts, compact engines, and horticulture. Students can also earn traditional graduation credits in electives, math, science, and language arts that are embedded in the curriculum of each program. The Career Center Campus offers a variety of unique programs (School to Work Alliance Program, Valley Prep, InSTEPS along with Career and Technical Education courses/programs) that strive to equip every student with the work ethic, communication skills, and self-esteem to become productive members of their community, and to help them visualize a positive future, through relative and life applicable learning experiences. Feel free to contact me anytime for a tour of these wonderful programs!

Our Busy Programs
InSTEPS
Happy April! As we embrace the beauty of spring, we also celebrate the achievements and growth of our students. In the last month InSTEPS participants have expanded their knowledge of public transportation and have ridden the GVT to numerous community outings. We are excited to start Spring Special Olympic Sports and competing on May 2nd 2024. We will continue to prepare for graduation and transitioning into adulthood. Remember, you are only here for a short visit, Don't hurry , don't worry and be sure to smell the flowers along the way!
Compact Engines
We continue growing our MST (Master Service Technician) industry certifications. We now have 4 students with the newest being Ryan Martin. We also have been busy helping to clean the environment. We recycled 4500 lbs. of metal. We are also accepting any old/broken lawn equipment donations. The students take the donations and trouble shoot, diagnosis and repair the machines and then turn and sell to gain program funds to continue to learn all about compact engines. It also helps by keeping the gas and oil and metal out of the landfill. We appreciate the communities generosity!
