Note From Our Admin Team
It is time to put some dates on the calendar! On September 5th and 6th we invite parents to our "Back to School Night" to get to meet your child's teachers. This is an excellent opportunity to learn about how their teachers operate, what they expect of your child, and how you can partner together with our teachers.
I strongly encourage you to put "Back to School Night" dates on the calendar. It is when educators partner with parents that we can do great things for kids!
- Tuesday, September 5th at 6:30 pm - 7th & 8th Grade Parents/Guardian
- Wednesday, September 6th at 6:30 pm - 6th Grade Parents/Guardians
Your child should be bringing home a schedule for you to follow, but I am adding a blank one here for you to print at home. Please note that some classes will meet in Large Group Locations. (PE/Health, Explore, World Language) and are listed at the bottom of each page.
We look forward to seeing you soon. Enjoy your weekend!
Tim

We will call the students down. The portraits are pre-pay and the site closes at Midnight on Monday, August 28th. Families of Middle School Language Arts Students,
In an effort to support student learning in the area of written expression, students will take ThinkCERCA, an online writing assessment and intervention, to provide a Benchmark Assessment three times a year at both middle schools. Our first benchmark will be next week.
Student data and feedback will be shared with students to set goals for learning during the school year. The writing information will also help teachers plan instruction to support student growth and achievement.
The assessment consists of two 30 minute sessions in which students read a text, answer multiple choice questions, and complete a written response to a provided prompt. The first benchmark assessment will be administered in your studentโs Language Arts class and is scheduled during the window August 28 - August 31.
Did You Send In School Supplies?
Just a reminder to send in your child's supplies, especially things like facial tissue, Post-It Notes, Glue Sticks, and those common supplies your studentโs classrooms will use all year long. Our expectation is that each student brings in these supplies as they are not purchased by our teachers.
Please send in those supplies this week in order to help us get this school year going full speed!
Resources for Families
In D303, we value the opportunity to provide a community of care and support to our families, especially those faced with financial hardship. If your family is experiencing a significant financial need, our community partnerships have several supports available for families, including school clothes/shoes, winter coats/accessories, school supplies, toiletries, holiday meals, and holiday gifts. If you would like to be considered for any of these supports, please complete the Family Resource Form by September 1, 2023.
Can You Help Us Out?
Creativity Needed!
Mr.Loversky is looking for a parent (or two) who have some creativity to help us get some photos into our wall frames, along with adding some spirit banners. If you work for a printing company or you have a good eye for this sort of thing, then we need your help. Contact Principal Loversky at tim.loversky@d303.org.
Do You Have a Tree Contact?
We have a large piece of property with very few trees on it, and we would like to add a few additional trees. Some of our classes or teams would like to work on this arbor project. If you are someone who can help us out, please contact Principal Loversky at tim.loversky@d303.org.
Finding the Right Person at WMS
Here is a list of all of our Team Leaders, Admin, and Student Support Team members who will support your child. Please keep this link handy for future reference.
You can also use our Staff directory located on the right hand side of the Wredling Website.
So who do I contact for my concern???
While there are always some exceptions, the general rule of thumb is to email or call:Emotional issues - Counselors
Disciplinary issues - Student Services Coordinators (Deans)
School work issue - Teachers
- In general, if your child needs support, start with the teacher and then the team leader. If you still need help, move to the Assistant Principals (academics) or Student Support Coordinators (Deans) (behavioral).
If you email Tim Loversky (principal) he may forward your email to the right person to handle the issue. Please do not be offended when he does this. The goal is to expedite getting the issue attended to as promptly as possible.
