A Note from Mrs. Goldsworthy
We are finally catching a break from the hot weather, and hopefully we have a nice, cool day for the Eagle Run a week from Saturday. The Eagle Run is not only a fun community event, but it's always one of the biggest fundraisers for our school. In the past, PTO has used money raised from the Eagle Run, PTO dues and spirit sales to help the school pay for things that don't fit into our yearly operations budget: equipment repairs, replacement furniture, student events like Popsicles on the Plaza, teacher appreciation, and teacher wishes that have included tech, printers, and rugs.
Remember, no school on Monday in observance of Labor Day!
Eagle Run
The Eagle Run is a huge fundraising opportunity for our school, as well as a fun community event! How can you help?
CREATE YOUR FUNDRAISING PAGE: There is no registration fee for students and families to attend this year, so please sign up your child for a fundraising page, and share with family and friends! Every donation helps our school! There are prizes for students and classes who raise the most money!
SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER: Have a fun time at the run, and get some Time & Talent hours while you are there!
The Eagle Run is Saturday morning, September 7th at CSSE!

Federal Funding - Action Needed
At St. Eugene, we participate in the Federal Title I program to assist students in need of academic or counseling support, and the Federal Title II program that secures funds for professional development. To qualify for and receive funding allocations, we need our families to complete the Federal Funding Assistance form. This helps determine eligibility for the amount of funding allocated to St. Eugene. Families with a household income of $100,000 or less are encouraged to fill out and return.
If your family receives financial assistance through the parish, archdiocese, or Catholic Schools Opportunity Fund (formerly TCS), you are required to complete the Federal Assistance form and return to the school office by Friday, Sept. 13th.

Parish News
Bring the Word of God to Children! Children’s Liturgy allows kids to hear the word of God on their level. It’s a wonderful sight when they come bounding back into church after their liturgy. Volunteering to do this would be a great gift to the parish, especially to our kids. Fr. Jim is hosting an informational session on the volunteer responsibilities on Monday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 pm in Ross Hall. If we can attract a good number of people, we could offer children's liturgy for two different age groups. If you are interested in helping, please call the parish office at 405-751-7115.
Check Your Assignments - If you are part of the mass ministry team at St. Eugene, please check your inbox for weekend mass assignments for September through October, or view the ministry schedule here.
