👍KINDNESS MATTERS👍
In our efforts to maintain a safe and positive learning environment teachers will offer monthly lessons/activities that encourage kindness in our building. For the month of September, the lesson will focus on spreading kindness. Teachers will choose one of three videos and have a discussion about the importance of kindness with thier students. CURRICULUM CORNER
September 23, 2024
It is hard to believe we are already in the last week of September! That flew by!
We continue to grow and learn together; teachers and students. Teachers participated in the first Tribal Council professional development meeting of the year where we explored important grading topics on how to assess the skills of multilingual learners. Sara McNerny and Chrissy Black provided valuable and actionable information to our teachers.
Our Academic Committee met again this year to explore our NJSLA and NJGPA data in Math and English. The information gleaned from their analysis will shape our instructional strategies in all subject areas.
We had another successful Back to School Night on the 12th. We continue to be proud of our students and their leadership abilities. They took control of the fundraising and helped parents navigate the halls that night.
We launched our building-wide words of the week. This week’s word is INTEGRITY.
Encourage your child to join one of our many clubs! There is so much to do here at South that we are so very proud of. We are TR!
