As we approach the spring break, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for all your support throughout this past year. Your dedication and involvement have played an instrumental role in making this year a success for our students.
May this spring break be a time of relaxation, rejuvenation, and joyful moments spent together. Take this opportunity to create cherished memories with your Ducks and enjoy every moment of this special time. Thank you once again for everything you do. Look forward to welcoming you back on April 15th and working together to create a great end to the school year!

Spring Pictures:
Spring pictures are scheduled for this Thursday, April 4th. As in years past, there will be no Spring Makeup day, that only happens for fall so we can include everyone in the yearbook. As the 6th graders will be away at camp, Sumner Photography offers an alternative offer. The photographer's studio will be open to the public on May 16th from 1:00 pm to 4:45 pm, providing an excellent opportunity for you to capture beautiful moments with your children in a professional setting. This is a unique chance to create lasting memories that you can cherish for years to come.
Whether you missed out on spring pictures or simply want to update your family photo album, we encourage you to take advantage of this opportunity.

Enrollment 2024-2025
As we start planning for the 2024-2025 school year lottery please let us know if you are moving or know you will be returning to Davis for the 2024-2025 school year. Feel free to call our office to let us know so we can mark it and then we will send you the withdrawal form.
Davis Lottery Results
The Lottery Results will be emailed on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 2nd. Please make sure you enable email notifications in your school mint account. The email will contain detailed information based on whether you were accepted or put on a waitlist.
6th-grade transition into 7th grade
Our 6th-grade students from Davis Elementary are ready to spread their wings and move on to 7th grade. Take a look at the upcoming events at the middle schools:
Costa Mesa Middle School:
April 26th 8:45-10:55 am- School Tour- an introductory presentation, engage in a campus tour, and visit information stations around campus.
Corona Del Mar Middle School:
April 25th 6th-grade Parent night
April 26th: 6th-grade Rally at 12:45 pm. Families whose residential school is CDM or interested in attending CDM and submitted a Parent Choice Transfer, please arrange for personal transportation to pick up/drop off your child.
Summer Scholars Academy Registration
Visit Summer School Program Information. There is also a PDF of the step-by-step enrollment process for your Aeries parent portal. The deadline to register for summer school is May 3rd.
Chromebooks Reminder:
During our District benchmark testing, students in Grades 3-6 must arrive at school with their Chromebooks fully charged and prepared for daily use. This will save time and prevent any delays in the testing process. Your commitment to their education and preparedness for school is truly commendable. Thank you for partnering with us to create a positive learning environment for your child.
Community Recycling
Our Green Team will be hosting a monthly recycling collection. Families can bring their empty cans, plastic bottles, and batteries to the lunch area before the flag deck. We DO NOT recycle glass, cardboard, or paper at this time. Please note the batteries need to be alkaline. Dates: 4/26, and 5/31

TALENT SHOW
Get ready to unleash your child’s talent! Davis Magnet School’s Talent Show will be showcasing our students' creative abilities on April 30th (Kinder-3rd) & May 1st (4th-6th). This is an excellent opportunity for your child to shine and share their creative abilities with the Davis community. Whether they have a special talent they'd like to showcase solo or as part of a group, or if they prefer to assist behind the scenes as a crew member, we encourage all students to participate. Please sign up your child by April 16th. All act’s will need to be approved by a parent panel prior to the talent show. If you have any questions or need assistance with the sign-up process, please don't hesitate to contact us at davistalentshow@gmail.com. We're here to support you and your child every step of the way.
SPRING AFTER-SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS - COMING SOON
The Spring Session for After-School Enrichment classes will begin the week of April 1st. The schedule and registration information went home in your child's orange folder last week and you can access the schedule HERE.
If your child is participating in one of the Winter Session After-School Enrichment programs, you are invited to please complete this quick Survey regarding your experience. Your feedback will help us plan future enrichment sessions and by completing the survey, you will automatically be entered to win a free item of Davis spirit wear. The survey will remain open until 3/31/2024. The winner will be contacted via email.

Foundation Information
Room Parents Class basket verification is on Tuesday, 4/16/24, at 5:30pm in Room 3. Please bring your basket to be photographed and fill out THIS form.
