Scholarship to participate in Summer Preschool Enrichment

Summer Registration is in full swing. We are please to share a variety of resources to help families in planning summer opportunities. New this year is a Preschool Summer Scholarship to participate in a camp at the Early Learning Center.
If you have a child who will be starting in Kindergarten, we have important information to help you prepare for next school year. If you will need after-school care next year, be sure you read all about KIDS Club and the important registration dates. Plus there are more scholarship resources available for K-12 students. Reach out with questions or assistance.

All-Day Care Options
- School-Age Care is available with Edina KIDS Club for incoming K-6th graders
- Early Learning Center offers all-day camps 8:30-2:30pm and option add-on 2:30-5:30pm Child Care

Financial Assistance is available to income eligible families to help cover the costs of summer enrichment/preschool camps

EDINA KIDS CLUB
KIDS Club - Summer 2025- available to incoming Kindergartners
Edina KIDS Club is an All-Day Care program for students entering K-6 this fall. Choose from 3-4-5 days per week for a minimum of 6 weeks this summer. Learn More
Lottery Registration window: Feb 11 8 AM -Feb 24 11:59 PM. Complete a contract request anytime between those dates to be entered in the lottery. for spot in KIDS Club this summer.

2025-26 Kindergarten Enrollment
If you have a child who turns five on or before September 1, 2025, your child is eligible to enroll in Kindergarten for the fall of 2025. Welcome to the Edina Public Schools family! We are excited to welcome your child to the Class of 2038!

Immunizations:
Before starting kindergarten, students need to submit a record showing compliance with 5 different immunizations: HepB, DTaP, Polio, MMR, and Varicella, or a legal exemption to the immunization requirements. LEARN MORE
Before/After School Care- KIDS CLUB 2025-26
After- School Care is available for Incoming K-5 students at their elementary school. Space is limited and not guaranteed. You must submit a contract request.
Contracts for 2025-26 School-Year KIDS Club- before/after school care program will open March 25 at 8am. The contract request window is March 25, 8 am to April 14, 11:59 pm. Contract requests will be accepted during this two-week window. If more contracts are requested than available at a specific site, a random computerized lottery will be held. Learn More

*If you need financial assistance for KIDS Cub this summer or the 2025-26 school year, start your application today. Hennepin County Residents can call 612-348-5937 to determine eligibility prior to completing the full application.
Early Childhood Screening
Do you have a child starting Kindergartner starting in the fall, school year 2025-26 All incoming Kindergartners are required by the State of Minnesota to have a screening before the start of Kindergarten. Screening is FREE and take about an hour. Screening is open to children starting at age 3. Schedule your appointment today. Screening early (age 3) can help provide your child early access to additional supports to prepare for Kindergarten. Learn More
Scholarship Resources for Incoming Kindergarteners
Connect Card
Connect Card will help eligible students access scholarships provided by a number of organizations including: Edina Parks & Recreation & Edina Athletic Associations: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Girls Athletics, Lacrosse, Ultimate, and Volleyball.
Once approved, your card is good for 2 years and then you will need to reapply to continue benefits from the Edina Connect Card.
Edina Give and Go (K-12)
Edina Give and Go supports Edina K-12 Students with up to $500 during the school year and up to $500 during summer to participate in programs - Arts, Athletics and Academic programs of the student's choosing. Requests for assistance should be done by completing the online form. Be sure to request funding prior to registering for any program. 10-14 business days is recommended.

Edina Community Ed
Youth Enrichment Scholarships are available for K-12 students enrolled in Edina Public Schools. Families need to complete the Enrichment Financial Aid Application each school year. For students starting Kindergarten this fall, you can apply for summer 2025 funding.
