Message from Principal Bacon
Dear RCP Families,
I hope students enjoyed Halloween in whatever way your family may celebrate this spooky day. I was impressed with how our students showed up with creative and appropriate costumes to mark the day.
Monday and Friday serve as important days for our teachers to review data, reflect on student performance and draft report cards to communicate to families the academic progress.
Report Cards: Report cards will be available on ParentVue by Friday, November 8th. VDLI families will receive a printed copy because the system does not yet handle the Vietnamese language. District guidance states that report cards will not contain Specials grades during Quarter 1. If you have specific concerns, please contact the specific teacher. More information below.
Behavior Intervention Specialist Introduction: I am excited to finally introduce an important addition to our RCP team: Valerie Jackson, our new Behavior Intervention Specialist. Valerie lives in our neighborhood, has experience in working with students with high needs, is the defensive coordinator for the McDaniel football team and is attending PSU to pursue her passion in working with students with special needs. She will begin on Tuesday, November 5th working 3-4 hours 5 days a week.
Hiring 2 New Part Time Educational Assistants: RCP has been allocated funds to hire 2 part time (12 hours per week each) to support our K-2 learners. Please see more info below.
For more important school news, please read below.
In Solidarity,
Principal Bacon
