Spring Break Message
Dear Bogota School Community,
As we approach the eagerly awaited spring break, we want to remind everyone of the upcoming schedule. Spring break will begin on Friday, March 29th, and end on Friday, April 5th. During this time, no classes will be held, allowing students and staff to enjoy a well-deserved break.
We encourage everyone to use this time to rest, recharge, and engage in activities that bring joy and relaxation. Whether you're traveling or staying local, we hope you have a safe and enjoyable break.
Classes will resume on Monday, April 8th, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the remainder of the school year.
Warm regards,

District Wide Registration Process
The Bogota Public School District provides free education to all the children in our community. Our schools are open to all residents of Bogota. In the past few years, the district has had issues with families who no longer live in our community not notifying our school officials when they move to another district and continue sending their children to our schools.
In an effort to ensure that public tax dollars are used for students in our community, we are going to conduct a district-wide re-registration for the 2024-2025 School Year.
What is re-registration?
All families will be required to re-register their children even if they have attended our schools for their entire school careers. This includes students attending Special Education out-of-district schools, Technical, Charter, and Choice schools as well as students attending our Public Preschool Program at Bogart and Trinity Schools.
For your convenience, re-registrations will be done using our Realtime Parent Portal. You can use the QR code below to directly access the Parent Portal. Please log into your child’s parent portal, select “Documents” and follow the prompts to upload the required documentation. Usernames and passwords will be emailed early next week for convenience.
For families with more than one student, please repeat the process for each child. You will receive an email when the re-registration has been processed.
All re-registration questions or concerns can be directed to reregistration@bogotaboe.com or by
contacting Bella Almanzar at 201-441-4800 Ext 1009. If you do not have access to the parent portal or have issues uploading your documents, please send us your inquiry to the re-registration email address and we will gladly assist you.
Re-registration for all students must be completed by May 24, 2024. Starting July 1, 2024,
disenrollment proceedings will begin and transfer cards will be issued to all students who have not been re-registered.
Please see the letter below for more information.
Bogota School District Awarded for Outstanding Financial Reporting
Ashburn, VA – March 26, 2024 – The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) is pleased to award Bogota Board of Education the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting (COE). ASBO International’s COE recognizes districts that have met the program’s high standards for financial reporting and transparency. The school district earned the Certificate of Excellence for its Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) for the fiscal year ended 2023.
“For over half a century, ASBO International’s Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting has been the gold standard in promoting and recognizing excellence in financial reporting,” according to ASBO International Executive Director Jim Rowan, CAE, SFO. “Communicating the financial and economic state of a district is so important when engaging with the school community and building their trust. Districts that receive the COE Award have demonstrated their ability to do that at the highest level.”
By participating in the COE program, school districts demonstrate their commitment to financial transparency. Applicants submit their ACFR for review by a team of financial professionals who provide feedback to improve future documents. If the report meets the requirements of the program, it may receive the Certificate of Excellence. A district’s participation in the COE program can facilitate bond rating and continuing bond disclosure processes.
The COE is proudly sponsored by ASBO International Strategic Partner American Fidelity.
