Need to Knows

As we head into May and June, much of our Physical Education time will be spent outdoors. To help ensure students can participate safely and comfortably, please make sure your child is wearing appropriate footwear.

Crocs, sandals, and flip-flops are not great for running and physical activity, especially on the ball diamond. Proper running shoes are essential so that all students can safely enjoy the games and the fun activities we have planned.

Get Those Bikes Ready for the June 6 Bike Rodeo! 🚲

June 6 is coming up—and weather permitting, it’s the perfect time for some outdoor fun! It’s also a great opportunity to check over those bikes. Please take a few moments beforehand to make sure your child’s bike, tires, and chain are in good working order so they're ready to ride safely and smoothly.

AROUND THE SCHOOL😍

The Magic Begins: Grade 4 and the Sorting Hat

The Great Hall shimmered with candlelight, floating high above the heads of the new Grade 4 students. Whispers echoed off the stone walls as wide-eyed children stared at the enchanted ceiling, which sparkled with a thousand stars. At the front of the hall stood a rickety old stool—and upon it, the Sorting Hat, patched and crooked, but very much alive. As the Sorting Ceremony began, the hat twitched once, twice… then burst into song. Hearts pounded with excitement. This was it. The moment they'd all been waiting for. One by one, names were called, and the Sorting Hat began to decide where each student truly belonged—Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, or Slytherin.

A Taste of the Band: Grade 5s Explore the Sounds of Eastview

Today, our Grade 5 students had an exciting opportunity to visit with the Eastview Middle School band! They got the chance to hear a live performance and even try out some of the instruments themselves. It was a fun and inspiring introduction to what being in a band is all about—and a great way to see if they might want to join the Grade 6 band next year!
