Dear Parents/Carers,
I would like to start by extending a very warm welcome back to this new academic year 2024-25! I hope that you had a wonderful summer with your families.
The children have settled back into school life extremely well this week and I am really enjoying listening to their stories about their holidays and the adventures they have had. Next week, following a staggered start, we are looking forward to welcoming our youngest pupils into school with us full time from Thursday. I am sure we will have a lot of very excited siblings!
I would like to also extend a warm welcome to new staff members – Miss Sharp and Mr Reynolds. Please see diary dates below for our ‘Meet the Teacher’ events.
Eco Team – Green Flag Award
I am very excited to announce that over the summer, our school eco team was granted our first green flag award. This is an excellent achievement and so well-deserved. The whole team have worked very hard to implement our priorities this year and we welcomed the excellent feedback we were given as outlined below.
‘It is impressive how you continue to address the school’s environmental initiatives by empowering the Eco Team to influence others and serve as role models.’
‘Your commitment to integrating climate education into the curriculum is a powerful way to raise awareness.’
‘Your efforts in fostering a culture of responsibility and environmental awareness are truly commendable’.
‘Congratulations! Your application stood out’.
We are in the process of creating an Eco Newsletter for parents and carers. Please watch out for this coming soon. Please also watch out for our new green eco flag which will be flying above school shortly!
Junior Leadership Team
Please see correspondence sent out today from Mr Reynolds regarding the application process for the JLT. We look forward to receiving interest from our pupils for this extremely important role helping to make our school even better!
Diary
I hope that everyone has a lovely weekend! Please do contact school if you have any worries or concerns regarding this academic year. We are only too happy to help.
Yours Sincerely,
Mrs Adams
