Cooperation - Character Strong
This month our school is focusing on the character trait of cooperation, which can be defined as "working together to reach shared goals." As parents and caregivers, you have the special opportunity to explore this concept at home with your children. Family life provides a rich environment for learning about cooperation.
Consider the many shared goals you work towards as a family - perhaps creating a happy home, having fun together, or succeeding in school and activities. Reaching these goals requires all members to cooperate. Parents may cooperate by providing encouragement, setting rules, assigning chores, and fostering open communication. Children learn to cooperate by sharing toys, helping with tasks, compromising in play, and respecting family guidelines. Cooperation takes patience and effort but pays off through closer connections.
Wishing you the best as we focus on cooperation this month!

Severe Weather Drill - Thursday, April 11 @ 1:45pm
Severe weather can strike at any time in Minnesota, making it important for all of us to be prepared to find the most secure shelter available no matter where we are. The statewide tornado drill is an
excellent opportunity to practice their plans and ensure readiness in case of a severe weather
emergency. The statewide drill provides schools, businesses and families with an opportunity to test their planning and readiness to be able to quickly seek appropriate shelter in case of a real severe weather emergency. Feel free to review the resource below as you review your plans at home.
Parking reminders
We are seeing a number of cars parked in our designated handicap parking spots near the front of the building, especially during student drop off and pick up. Please refrain from parking in the handicap spots as we need to keep them open for our visitors per Minnesota State Law. Vehicles need to have the appropriate plates or tag visible. Thank you.
